  1. Shouldnt you be back in die Heimat by now? Hmm? I made the template. Looked at it. Set it aside.
  2. Thnx guys! Well.. here's some more tedious work. Snipped of the plastic WnW fins and replaced them with the HGW PE. Gotta be careful not to drop them...
  3. Hi Erik, I believe to recall these Shermans did not carry a lot of stowage. I'm a little bit out of the armour modelling, but still enjoy looking at a delicately weathered piece of armour though. One day I might just try my hand at 1/35 again. So. You're (planning on) building a Sherman?
  4. Hi Cees, Good to see you working on this project again. Too good to be stowed away. Really cool. Cheers, Jeroen
  5. Thnx George, No worries. I've got a permit! Here's some more tedious work:
  6. First coat of paint on ze wings. Got some 1,5mm tape at the Airbrush store today, so next up: masking the ribs.
  7. Hi all, some more progress. My least favorite part. Repeating sequences...
  8. Hi Grant, Thnx! I will post some more armour builds over the next couple of weeks. Here's a link to the U-boat album: http://s1338.photobucket.com/user/jeroenpeters75/slideshow/U-boat%20Conning%20tower
  9. Really nice build Jamme!!! Congrats. Love the masked roundels. Cheers, Jeroen
  10. Amazing stuff!! Really impressive scratching. I guess that when you have an itch... Scratch!!
  11. Hi Jeroen, I used three greys. All mr Hobby. A bit darker towards the edges. But mostly medium grey satin. Hi Doogs, I added a lot of water to the AK. It's way too thick not to. I believe 2/3 water 1/3 AK. Nice stuff. I'll look out for your... Latex! Cheers, Jeroen
  12. Hi James, Great review and pics. I have the older version of the Ninak seatbelts and had to cut them out myself. Also these feature holes instead of black dots. Looks like a great product. Cheers! Jeroen
  13. Hi Danny, ah ok. Here's a site that makes the coolest plates on order: http://www.nameitplates.co.uk They're always present at hobby shows. Cheers, Jeroen
  14. Wow Jeroen... amazing progress and weathering. Again... One question: how do you mask the undersides to obtain the green edge along the wing's edges?
  15. Great start Danny!! Will you be using the HPH resin replacement canopy? AND I can really recommend the HGW seatbelts. They come with resin seats too. Following this one buddy. Cheers, Jeroen
  16. Hi Danny, You know i love your Von Werra build. The one that got away! Where did you have that name plate made? Cheers, Jeroen
  17. Hi all, I built this Verlinden full resin kit quite some years ago. It's the Trophy models series BRDM-1. The figure is from Alpine miniatures i believe. If I had to build this kit today, I would use a range of techniques I did not know back then. But I guess that's part of the hobby. The base is petrified wood. Cheers, Jeroen This is what you get: And here's the model:
  18. Thnx guys, I covered the exhaust stacks with liquid fluid. The vallejo version is very thin. A bit difficult to remove, but perfect for tight spots. Cheers, Jeroen
  19. Great work Jamme. So that figure is white metal? Really cool display...
  20. Thnx guys, Today I started paint work on the forward fuselage. This part was aluminum. I haven't found any pics of heavy chipping or weathering BUT i felt like chipping. I used AK chipping medium. This works way more delicate than hairspray. First coat: Alclad aluminum. Followed by Micro Gloss coat. Then water thinned AK chipping medium. Then Mr. Hobby Olive. Cheers!
  21. wow... one of the nicest K's I've ever seen. Got one in the stash with all the EagleParts and AM it begs for. Truly amazing finish. Got any more nice builds we need to know about??
  22. Can't wait to see you tackle this Iain! I love the british F-4K. Too cool for school
