BlrwestSiR Posted August 2 Posted August 2 Gecko Models has released some images of their forthcoming PACV hovercraft. I can't see to get the images to work but here's the link to The Modeling News: https://www.themodellingnews.com/2024/07/gecko-models-new-135-scale-us-navy.html#google_vignette Nice thing is it'll be plastic instead of resin. 2 1
mark31 Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Just found this. I have send him a email about this and it will be ready in a few weeks. I have put one in preorder. Mark 7

Artful69 Posted August 23 Posted August 23 As I can’t find the 2024 thread anywhere, I’ll assume it was merged into this one at some point. Maybe a title change to st “Modelling News / Announcements”? Anyway … the latest HKM Kit announcement is a special edition RAAF Havoc A-20G Rog 5 1

HubertB Posted September 28 Posted September 28 Miniart have released a lovely 1;48 Junkers F-13. https://www.themodellingnews.com/2024/09/updated-preview-plastic-pics-to-add-to.html It would be - unfortunately - a « lemon » in sales in my preferred 1/32 scale, but would I love one, even in resin ! BlrwestSiR Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Italeri is getting closer with their 1/12 Lancia Stratos. Pic of the test build. Needless to say I can't wait for this. 8 1

Nonetheless, I just bought Italeri´s Fiat 695 Abarth. I know, I once said, I would neve buy an Italeri kit, but the Stratos will be the third breaking of the rule, the other was the 1/12 Alfa Romeo 2300. As a sidenote, I couldn´t let the 695 Abarth go for under 60 €uro including shipping. It´s still available for that price on the big A.de Cheers Rob 3
BlrwestSiR Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Rob, that's a great price for the Abarth. I've thought of getting one of those but they haven't been that inexpensive. I have their big Delta in the stash but the Stratos is my favourite rally car. I really should finish the Doyusha one in the stash before this comes out. 5
HubertB Posted November 8 Posted November 8 It looks like Revell have announced a 1/32 Hawker Hunter T7 (you know, the one where the Brits demonstrated brilliantly their unmatchable knack to turn a beautiful airframe into an ugly errr… something 🤮) Good for those who had missed the Fisher conversion, though. Hubert 1 3
GusMac Posted November 8 Posted November 8 I actually think the Hunter T7 doesn't look too bad compared to some of the monstrosities that we churned out at that time - Argosy comes to mind!

HubertB Posted November 9 Posted November 9 TBH, there are not many airframes of the era which, designed as a single-seater, were not seriously bastardized by the move to twin-seater. The F-100 and F-105 survived it, the F-104 passably so, but the Mirage III, the MiG-21 just to name some, did not benefit from the second driver’s position. But the Brits compounded the issue by the side-by-side requirement. And what about the EE Lightning 😱 ? Hubert 1

BlrwestSiR Posted November 10 Posted November 10 The one that always got me was the Canberra. The EE version always looked like it was wearing goggles whereas the Martin one actually looked normal. 2
BlrwestSiR Posted November 27 Posted November 27 Takom has just announced a pair of Horton 229 kits in 1/32. The first is an A and the second is a B. I'll be interested in the B since the ZM B conversion was a bit lacking. 2 2
