smitty44
Howdy all. There is a huge wildfire near the town of Paradise California where Paul Fisher resides. Now would be a good time for prayers and positive thoughts. The entire town has been evacuated as far as I know. I lived through the same thing here in Redding in July.

BlrwestSiR
Didn't realize how bad the fire was until I read about it this morning on CBC. Hope they're safe and sound. Carl

smitty44
They are reporting fatalities now for the Camp fire, people died in their cars trying to evacuate. Having lived through this recently, you learn what is important and what's not really fast. At least I did.

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted November 10, 2018 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2018 It only takes one person to have car trouble, run out of fuel, or get impatient and crash, and then a road is blocked for everyone. how incredibly sad.

Bill_S
Kevin Futter of LSP has started a GoFundMe page to directly assist Paul. Word is that he has lost everything. With 24 hours, the goal of US $10k has been exceeded. Administrators Clunkmeister Posted November 14, 2018 Administrators Share Posted November 14, 2018 48 confirmed dead in the Camp Fire now, making this by far the deadliest ill fire in California history. Still over a hundred people missing, though. One of the dead was a 63 year old man with swollen limbs who couldn’t walk. He was on oxygen. There was no time. There was barely enough time for most able bodied. Remember the American Red Cross as well. Groups like Samaritan’s Purse go in afterwards well, going site to site, helping people sift through the ashes to find even the smallest of memories.

Our thoughts and prayers also go out to all those who lost everything in the fire and those that unfortunately, lost their lives. Peter
