Yes Carl, they will be open. I really think this will work. Two cuts, one about a quarter inch from the front of back piece and one where the "frosted" part starts.....harv

Sounds good. If you need spares, I have two kits in the stash as back up.

I don't like to be overly negative, yet I have to say that , the more I see, the more I am questioning ZM approach on this conversion. It feels like old Matchbox  . Too much effort and profanities will be invested that's for sure. Keep it up Harvey, the canopy idea is smart way of  problem-solving .

I agree Martin. Its a good kit, but the conversion could of been better in my opinion. Especially the canopies. Thanks for supporting me buddy.....harv

The conversion really doesn't fit in with the quality of the rest of the kit as you both pointed out. It is disappointing that's for sure. Especially when you consider that for the Do-335 two seater, they made the parts there in injection plastic.

Also, I don't know if you've checked but I think the nose gear door contour doesn't match the new nose section.

Thanks Carl. Haven't got as far as the gear doors, but I would not be surprised........harv

Harvey, as Steve said above, very dark grey, if you don't have it, take black and tint it slightly with RLM 75. Just a kiss.

Nice weather today so interior parts painted RLM 75. Son is leaving for home tomorrow so I should get some of it assembled.....harv

Looking good there Harv. I think the cockpit side panels were lined with leather or fabric so you could do the same thing as you did on the floor to straighten out any warpage.

Don't forget to paint the interior of the body panels before you start assembling them to the frame! (RLM02)

I was thinking a lovely Salmon, or perhaps mauve.

I was thinking of Mauve color for exterior color for a two seat night fighter
