BlrwestSiR
Ok, so after being sick for most of last week, I've finally made it back to the workbench. After painting the prop blades and spinners, I realized I'd used the wrong colour. I'd used RLM 66 instead of 70 so I repainted them. At the same time, I did the front parts in white.
BlrwestSiR
I then cleaned up, painted and installed the Quickboost exhausts. Unfortunately these broke apart a bit upon removal from their pour stubs. I almost went and ordered some REXx metal ones but decided I had these on hand and might as well make a go of them.
BlrwestSiR
Lastly, I installed the underwing rad fairings and MLG legs. There's a small strut- N5 that goes in the front of the fairing that's not on the instructions so make sure you don't forget it. Carl

DocRob
Looking great, I like the newish, but used look, not easy to achieve. New is relatively easy, abused too, but the way you did it is the hard way. Me like. Cheers Rob

Peterpools
Carl Nice work on the exhausts and they sure look good. Wrong color and stripping paint? Can't remember a build in the past few years I havcen't been on that path. The redo paint work looks flawless Keep 'em comin Peter

With the kit ones being solid, I'd say you're right on needing AM exhasts for the kit. On 2/17/2019 at 6:40 PM, DocRob said: Looking great, I like the newish, but used look, not easy to achieve. I'm definitely in the lightly used category when it comes to weathering.

I did the wheelbays the wrong colour too and had to fix those as well. Glad it's sorted though.
BlrwestSiR
Time for some guns! And stickers too! Finally, a couple with the wings slid on. Photo bombed by the cat! One more try. I've got the tall gunners MG, rad doors and antenna left. So hotdog it'll be done soon. Carl

You're right, it does sort of look jet powered. Like a Meteor. Carl

DocRob
With the pic of your furry predator I wonder that there is only one hair in your splendid paintjob. The good thing on my little dog is that he is more earthbound . Love your mouth watering build. Until I followed it, I never thought about building a 110, but that might change... As for Harv selling his with the AiMs G-4 conversion, it's not an easy one so I can't blame him there. I've got the same one in the stash still and it's daunting. Which is only confirmed by some of the build threads. 18 hours ago, DocRob said: With the pic of your furry predator I wonder that there is only one hair in your splendid paintjob. Cheers Rob Rob, I sometimes wonder the same thing. Actually I did end up with one of her hairs stuck in my clear coat so there was a quick touchup needed.

BlrwestSiR
So although Dragon gives you the instrument panels for the nacelles, they're not really going to be visible. So I used the ones from Eduard on my PE set. I added a drop of clear UV gel to each dial to replicate the glass. Here they are installed on the nacelles. Next up, I installed the MLG doors and props. More cameos by our cat. This is something new for her. She's getting some impeccable timing.
BlrwestSiR
And finally, the wheels are on, the wings are glued in place and the cat is not in the picture. Right side up: So there's not much left: - antennae - defensive MG - canopy covers. I might this done by tomorrow. Carl

Same approach to thinning it and cleaning up too. 22 hours ago, Clunkmeister said: Carl, that’s looking stunning, man. Good grief it’s gorgeous Thanks Ernie! Now that I know I can pull off these squiggly line camo schemes, I might try building the He219 in my stash.
