Yes that was a "do as I say, not do as I do moment". (at the hobby shop)

The stash comment is funny, I have a couple for friends that I have brought into the hobby and now their wives scowl at me when they see me. "It's your fault he buys all these kits!" they remark.

Very nice Smitty...

  One of these could easily take down an A-10 Warthog!

I'm toying with this one since yesterday. Might be my new project. The kit is fantastic and will be added with some supplied and AM photoetch. In the moment I'm thinking about where to store the lightning equipment and how to install the LED's. Not exactly LS of M but worth the excursion

Looking at making a series of wood base' for models. Starting with a cedar panel , planed , shaped and a nice cobblestone pattern lasered into the top surface. I think this could be sealed and painted to suit as well as oiling or staining the cedar for a little bit nicer display:

 This pattern is 4" x 7" good for a 1/48 armor or....

Thank you . There is def texture and enough depth to take sealer , primer and paint. I'll finish it off tomorrow .
