Phil, I feel your sadness..... I lost my beloved, Beagle, Murphy, in 2012 and I still miss her terribly, now have my mom's old Beagle, and she is 15 , so before long there will be more pain .................... the more I see of this world, the more I love my dog...Or (cat)..... they are so much smarter than we humans..... they get it, we don't.....

Thanks Phil, I don't think I could be without a dog or cat in our house.

As for fur stuck in everything, I'm still it sure how I don't have more of it stuck in my paint jobs.

It's technically my bench but definitely my son's model:

Edward is using my Eclipse to paint his dino model with Model Air paint. He has fewer runs in it than I sometimes get.

Working on this beauty. Airfix F6F-5 Hellcat (converting it to a F6F-3 in the tri-color paint scheme)

Nice Martin, personally I don't like the mustard / spinach camo on Russian vehicles, but under a heavy coat of grime it works .

Cheers Rob

Spinach is good for you Rob:). I didn't want play around and elaborate , this thing was assembled solely for the purpose of trying MIG product to see if it makes sense to replace the "old " techniques (chalk/ pastel, oil paint , pencils , graphite etc.

It is the same in convenient packaging, well priced :), more less a smart marketing ploy.

Hi Phil,

I used AK pigment which is a fancy name for artistic chalk (powder) and AK wash, that is basically diluted paint, Then I used simple graphite retractable pencil.  This kit is a test mule , therefore the true to reality aspect has been set aside and everything is overkilled . :) Next I am going to try dust effect.

I hope you've made a video for Youtube explaining, in-detail, your process :notworthy:

Pulling the Rex off the SOD; some finagling of the engine and cowling, but I finally got it all sorted out.

I like projects like that, the engine looks all business . Sweet !

Unfortunately, most of it will be hidden by the huge spinner.

Nah I already built it.

most is not seen, but I wanted to give the model heft and rigidness by leaving it in.

fit was very well except for a couple areas.

pics to follow.
