MARU 5137 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Hello John.. How goid it is to see your SUPER work again.. Very methodical as always and looking quite SPLENDID. Following with interest. 2
JohnB Posted July 14, 2019 Author Posted July 14, 2019 Thanks MARU and Gaz. This one has really been a challenge but, hopefully, I'm over that hump now. 1
Trigger Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Looking great John, soon the only thing she will need is a pin up girl,........................ cheers, Frank 6

I still have plenty of puttying and sanding to do (my least favorite part of modeling). I hope to have all that done and the primer applied by mid-week but we will see. 2

I've seen so many really stellar builds of this kit it'd be a shame to not see it done. Of course, mine still languishes in the stash with it's 10 lbs of AM goodies, so that shows you I'm personally all talk and little action. I'm looking forward to seeing the culmination of this. And please be forewarned. I have a feeling that if this hits the SOD again, Phil will call in an airstrike on your location right after Gazz sends in the Hussars. I'm also thrilled ! And like Ern, have the same in the stash......harv 4
JohnB Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 Puttying and sanding finished. Primer mostly applied. I'd say it's over the hump now (I hope!). 4
BlrwestSiR Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 That's a major milestone there John. How big is it compared to a B-25? Carl 3
JohnB Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 Yes it is Carl, thanks. They are both about the same size judging from the Mk.1 eyeball. I have a '25 in one of my display cases and it was a tight fit. As for the P-61 I have no idea as to where I can put it as all of my cases are full. 3

JohnB Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 Decals copied and re-scaled from 1/48 to 1/32 using my laser printer. 6
JohnB Posted July 23, 2019 Author Posted July 23, 2019 Camo done so now it's time for a gloss coat in prep for decals. 6
1to1scale Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 WOW, curveball! I figured you were making this in black...OD looks good. 4
Grunhertz Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Looking great. Making me think about my 1/48 one now 3

ScottsGT Posted July 23, 2019 Posted July 23, 2019 Awesome build! I have one to build as the Wabash Cannonball IV. It was my Uncles ride back in the day. I need to find someone to make me decals though. 2
