ThomasProbert
I've just added the final touches to Airfix's classic 1/24th scale Stuka. A great kit to build, and despite its age it's crammed full of detail, has some lovely surface detail and goes together really well. What you see here is as it comes in the box, with the only additions being some Eduard belts and a bit of extra plumbing in and around the engine. All paints were Xtracolour enamels. GusMac
Lovely finish. The enamels have a real depth to the colour finish they give.

Sir Desmond Glazebrook
I bought and built that kit when a youth. It is lovely to see it built so well decades later. Well done. And thanks for the memory.
Wingco57
Great model Tom, Just the other day I was watching some footage on Youtube regarding the classic Airfix 1:24 kits. Amazing what they achieved at the time. Cees
Drifter
How does the Trumpeter stack up against this? I also built the Airfix one as a kid, hairy stick and tube glue. It danged from my ceiling and ended up as target practise when I got my BB at 13. I was very sick and needed entertainment (My disclaimer T&C apply)
ThomasProbert
Thanks for the kind words, folks - much appreciated. I can't recall the exact amount, but it is substantial and adversely affects the look of the model - as if it has been stretched. Tom
Drifter
Oh well, if it walks like a Stuka, and chits like a Stuka, I guess it has to be a B-24.
