Looking great Phil, but what exactly is scaring you? You are not at stenciling now . Cheers Rob

The AMK Mig-31 is very close, you should give a try. Your money seems to be hard earned on this one, though. Dip the Clears in a pot of Future and after drying there will be no fogging when gluing and the clarity will be enhanced. Cheers Rob

Looks like the Lancia Stratos of tanks, is there an Alitalia livery with extra headlights and a 'Rally Monte Carlo' badge in the box ? Cheers Rob

I like them both, disc and blob camo, you have to wonder who develops these camos and which drugs were involved in the progress. The weathering looks great, like these two were out there, but obviously that could not be the case for the one with the turret . Cheers Rob -
Thanks for the pics of your great Arado build. I was first thinking about a captured one too, but then there was the night fighter with the operator cabin and the antennas, where I couldn't resist. Was there a reason, why you didn't use the decals for the canopy frame? Cheers Rob

What a mean looking tank. Like all 'late' versions, with dozens of extras and add-ons, it oozes badness. Can't wait to see it painted, brush or AB. Cheers Rob -
Good to see your Arado for the first time. I wouldn't mind some pics of your captured one, it looks intriguing. Cheers Rob

Yeah I know, it's 1/48, but it is on my bench in the moment. After cleaning most of the plastic parts and getting rid of the ridiculous stitching detail of the Eduard Siemens Schuckert, which I guess would cause so much drag, that the original plane would not be able to fly with it. Some before/after pics: Then I started with the Brassin engine. Resin wise it's a simple and well detailed three piece affair, but the pushrods should be made of PE. While I don't like it, I cut 22 pushrods with some spares from 0,2 mm silver nickel rod. To get them all evenly with their 5 mm length, I drilled a 0,3 mm hole through a fitting piece of wood and cut the rods with my sharp cutter. Cheers Rob -

DocRob replied to nmayhew's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Very nice Trop Nick, with a very convincing finish. I guess you have heard that there is no external image hosting required for LSM. Just click on 'choose files' in the bottom line of your thread and with choosing your pics, they will upload into the forum. Cheers Rob -

Seems to have very similar dimensions, but less boards. For me it is more about storing finished kits, than presenting, so space is the main issue. My Syvde shelf is in the workroom and for me there is no need for side walls made from glas, but if someone is looking for LS-storage in the living area, this might be a possibility. Cheers Rob -

Nice work with the shelf, bueno. The extra space is well needed. I recently bought this: https://www.ikea.com/de/de/p/syvde-schrank-mit-vitrinentueren-weiss-30439565/ because it is deeper than the others. It's depth is more than 40 cm on the inside, which should be enough for my AEG G.IV, if it ever arrives and got build. The width is one meter on the outside. It's spacy, but obviously has no glass on the sides. Cheers Rob -

Nice, it's a great kit and doesn't even need a gun . I built this one in three days, when I had a flu, some years ago. Not my best, but definitely my fastest build. Cheers Rob -
Nice and hard work on the A-7. I will never do commission work. Sometimes I ask friends if they want a kit or being asked by friends, If I would give away a finished kit and often I do. As I don't sell them, there is no warranty . Cheers Rob

Tamiya P-51D, easy bake & shake.
DocRob replied to 1to1scale's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
When I read the first sentence, I thought about offering mine and get them back, when yours arrive. There is nothing between having nothing or piling a stock like a wholesaler , but hey, you can continue now and give us exclusive insight, how they work on NMF and maybe later on OD , I heard they work on matte surfaces too. Cheers Rob -
1:32 scale - Siemens-Schuckert D.III
DocRob replied to sandbagger's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
I'm watching with rising interest, first, because of your fantastic skills and research and second because yesterday I started two tiny Eduard SSW's in 1/48 scale to get used to Lozenge decals and wood painting and third, because I like the design of the stubby SSW, which could be seen as the P-47 of WWI. Cheers Rob -
I started two Siemens Schuckert's today in 1/48 scale and have a Mig-31 pending, also 1/48 scale and the latter got a WIP started in the 'Non LSM WIP and Completed area here. I have to admit, besides their cool lookings the SSW's are a testbed for wood finish and Aviattic Lozenge decaling . Cheers Rob

Special Hobby Tempest V
DocRob replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
I start to fear the presentation of a perfect build from you , honestly, I like what I see, the only downside is, that you where to fast to participate in Martin's suggested Tempest GB , if that will ever happen. Cheers Rob -
Revell P-51 "Flying Dutchman"
DocRob replied to KevinM's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
No need to chicken out with the F-16 , we have an open heart here, even for non-LSM builds. Feel free to take us on the trip and make a 'WIP'. Cheers Rob -
I was considering to build my Mk. VI soon. It still has to arrive here and then I will give it a thought. Cheers Rob

Me too, good when Carl builds one, I can sneak peak a little for mine, which I bought last week . Cheers Rob

Very inspiring work and your attention to detail is fabulous. Cheers Rob -
Sorry Bill no Camel, but Modellbau König of Germany has some kits left, not only early Gotha's. https://www.modellbau-koenig.de/Hersteller/Wingnut-Wings?Page=1&Items=24&Filter={"category":[1019]}&sort=5&view=list Cheers Rob
