  3. Gaz Nice start on the Panther. Not knowing much about armor, looks quite the project and a bit complicated with the Zimmerit. Keep 'em comin Peter
  4. Carl, nice progress on the SDF-1 kit, going to look mighty cool when done Keep 'em comin Peter
  5. Welcome back and nice to read the juices are flowing. Looking forward to your Mustang build. Nothing like that first solo, mine was in 1965, Piper J3 Cub, Amityville Flying Service, Zahns Airport, Amityville, NY Yes a looooooooooog time ago. Back then, Zahn's was one of the busiest GA airports in the country, no tower and on weekends, you fought your way in and out of the pattern. The good old days I so long for Keep 'em comin Peter
  6. Rob Thank you for keeping us up to date and thank goodness for the New Year the volcano eruption on La Palma is over. Keep 'em comin Peter

  9. John Looks so much better then the Revell version Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Good idea John. I'm still playing with the Revell Hub and Prop as the fit isn't the best. Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. John Good plan and fingers crossed no issues. The inner leading edges and gun port covers are the two tricky areas. No question in my mind, you get everything to fit and have no problems. Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. John Which Revell Mustang kit are you thinking of using? Do you have the new Revell P-51D Late with the tail fillet? I'm mostly through the painting on my Revell Mustang but can't finish it until after all the house reno work is done, so I'll be getting my Mustang juice from your build. On the new Revell kits there are a number of Cuss Factor areas as you would say and no where in the league of the Tamiya kit. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. John Just let it stay as the main focus and attention of the viewer will be the external paint scheme. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Gaz looking mighty good and the figures add so much. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  15. Beautiful work and display. Detail work and painting brilliantly done. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  16. Joachim Terrific build - your Whirlwind looks fantastic. I do have the kit and have yet to open the box but down the road, will be building it for sure. I am surprised that SH did not include stringers and longhorns in the cockpit area as they seem so pronounced. Nice to know you didn’t encounter any building issues and only a few incorrect details. Thank you for the build photos as they are an excellent source details for others who will be building their Whirlwinds. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  17. John Simply, one gorgeous Wildcat. Beautifully built and you nailed it. Weathering is light and realistic and you paint work - perfect, just flawless including the wing fold. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  18. RoB AK metallics are enamel based and Alclad are lacquer based. I’ve used both both years and do feel AK is a bit more durable but prefer the look and feel of Alclad. I finally received my clear coats that I was going to test for the P-51 NMF but that’s now on hold for many months. Right now the two leaders in a gloss clear coat that does not effect the NMF look are: Testor’s Sealer for Metalizer (14090) and Alclad Aqua Gloss Clear (ALC 600) but nothing definitive now. looking forward to your next update Keep ‘em comin Peter
  19. Rob Thank You. You renovation projects sound wonderful and a sea view terrace - magnificent. Our renovations go from one end of the house to the other, nearly a complete make over and we will be living in the house and coordinating the work. The time required for the renovation will be somewhat longer for that reason alone, as we have chew choices due to medical conditions and of course Covid. But when done, it is going to seem as now live in a new home plus I am acquiring a brand new room for all my hobbies and needs. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  20. Mike Brilliant work - looking so good. Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Looking fantastic and zero decals. Amazing work Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. John What a change of pace and going to be a great build to follow. Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. Rob WOW, the metal burner/exhaust area looks fantastic and I could never equal what you have don, as I have more F4’s in my small stash then F-14’s, so I’ll be using your build as a guide in future builds down the road Keep ‘em comin Peter
  24. Phil Almost all the work is interior except for replacing a large double window in the master bedroom, new master bathroom, floors and painting throughout. Lots of other work will be done and we have been waiting so long to have the work done and then enjoy the house and finally retirement. The contractor has done a lot of work in our area so I feel confident all will go as planned, which it never does. I’ll be on line with my PC and iPad so I’ll be able to keep up with the goings on. Keep ‘em comin Peter
