1/24 Airfix Scale Mosquito build
Peterpools replied to PeteF's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Peter Just could be the lighter side is both closer to the source of illumination and also closer to the phone, accounting for the difference in color. A White Balance change could cause problems as well, when auto WB is being used. No matter what - looks fantastic Keep ‘em comin Peter -
Tony Nice progress on you're off and running Keep 'em comin Peter

Peter Did you use flash, as the greens closer to the phone appear lighter in shade and tone. Peter -

Peter Wonderful progress on your Mossie. Air brush work has always been my favorite part of any build and different colors from the same paint company will mix at different ratios and pressures. I've gotten in the habit f keeping all the paints used on a project in a separate containers and write down: Which air brush I used, working PSI and thinning ratio. Just seems to help down the road in keeping everything consistent and easy. A, the old hard line/ free hand cammo discussion; certainly discussed as much as Mustang wings. I straddle the fence and once in a while free hand free hand but prefer to use worms. For 24th scale, free hand is the way to go and 32nd scale can use either. I tend to roll my worms a bit so there is a bit of a feather. Looking real good Keep 'em comin Peter -

HI John Inspiration as always and your '1D' looks fantastic. Sure hope my 'luck' hasn't rubbed off on you by putting a Corsair to the side before finishing. After we talked, I decided I needed a mojo build as the Lone Star resin for the Little Boeing was horrible and something I just didn't want to beat my aching head against the wall over, took your advice and have my Tamiya 1D on the way with a tad of AM (wheels and fabric seatbelts), plus a Cutting Edge decal sheet for a finish. Looking forward to your latest project before returning to the Corsair. Peter

Back and ready for bench time... My wife Diane and I are back from our yearly, much looked forwarded to vacation in Bar Harbor, Maine (each year it gets a bit longer and no argument from me). Photography is another passion and taking in the last few weeks before Bar Harbor virtually shuts down for the winter has become a tradition for us. Bar Harbor is one of the more famous quaint Maine coastal seaport/villages on Mt Desert Island and of course, the island is the home of Acadia National Park; simply Mother Nature at her best. As I get older, the trips seem to take their tolls: the day before leaving I banged up my left knee, which made both the 8 hour drive (I stick to the speed limits) and hiking no the park trails and rocky landscape a tough act, especially much done in the dark; being there for the 'shot'. Returning, the drive again didn't go well and my second day back at the office, going down a flight of stairs, my left knee popped and gave out - feeling much better now and hobbling a lot less. Then to add insult to injuring, while eating dinning last night, I managed to crack and completely break a post and crown. Dentist tomorrow - just not a good week back home. Oh what fun Peter
