  1. Nice work, Rob! Glad to see you've got the struts sorted out.
  2. I'm no expert on USN blues... But your progress is smashing!
  3. jaw droppingly good!
  4. That's a sweeeeeet looking pit!
  5. Your work looks great, Carl.
  6. Rob, This is the perfect place for the electric toothbrush and double sided tape. You can have some of the tape and sandpaper actually outside the wheel, allowing you to work in places about 1/3 inch high. Keeping your touch light, the abrasive can do the work with almost no pressure on the strut. Gaz
  7. I am amazed at the thought of taking that shapeless thing and turn it into an aircraft model.
  8. Thank you, Kai! I'm really looking forward to getting all of the colors tied together.
  9. That's not an unusual number. A Panzer Div only had one regiment of tanks. After the fall of France, each Panzer division had to give up one regiment of tanks to form a new panzer division.
  10. Currently $1.30 Aussie bucks here right now. A few weeks ago could get it for $1.06 on a wednesday. But staying up now. Weekend prices are $1.50 to $1.60 per litre... and we're not talking Premium. And right now your dollar is .97 cents of ours.
  11. Decals... decals.... decals... what else is there to say? I'll let them harden or whatever it is they do, overnight. Then hopefully add the few remaining for all of the trim tabs later... before I start weathering.
  12. That is quite impressive, Rob! The mini version looks more difficult!
  13. With apologies.... I always forget about the RFI section. Rob, I love the final result! You've really done a great job on this attractive scheme. It's quite a beauty! What's next? Gaz
  14. Excellent diorama and 109, Kai! And I really like your figures! I even bought "Der Stern von Afrika" and enjoyed watching it. Marseille is a tragic figure to me in that he was untouchable in combat but fell because of engine trouble and a bad bail-out. Great job!
  15. That pit is amazing!
  16. OK.... Paint redone! Waddya think? All of the paints except for RLM 02 are MRP lacquers. The yellow is Swedish Army yellow with a splash of red to orange it up a little.
  17. For days now, I've been concerned that Sternberg's mount wasn't painted in the factory scheme. So, I made an analysis from the three best photos I have. The Analysis shows three letters for color differences I have noticed. L for light, M for medium, and D for dark... coinciding with the shades of gray I can detect from the photos I have. I put the analysis from a scan of a paint guide I found online. There are three question marks on the stbd wing because most of the photos are taken from port. But I am convinced that a third color is used. Detil on the tailplane is pretty hard to figure as it only shows in two of the photos, and there is a sheen there preventing greater study. I'll attach four photos I used to make this analysis, too. I'm not really keen on repainting, but I think I must. I'd appreciate any ideas that come into your minds.
  18. Great work! This is gonna be a mega project!
