  1. Seaview? My second guess would be Nautilus but you already built one.
  2. Thankfully the bike.
  3. Mine was yellow with a white seat made by CCM. If you're Canadian, you'll know the brand. Carl
  4. Looks fun.
  5. I do it all the time and haven't had any issues. In fact, it's my go to thinner for Tamiya acrylics, lacquers, Mr Color, and AK Real Colors. Carl
  6. Sums it perfectly I think.
  7. The same way it happens to all of us.
  8. Thanks for the info. I think it'll work nicely for my needs. My original compressor was a Silentaire and that was truly silent. You barely heard it. The airbrush was louder than it. But it's got a leak somewhere and a new one is almost $2K!!!. My current one is a Badger but as I said, is underpowered so runs a fair bit.
  9. Scott, how quiet is it? I'm looking to replace my current compressor which isn't too bad but underpowered. I can get the California Air Tools one which says it's the same 60dB as the one you bought. Just want to get an idea how quiet it is. Carl
  10. Thanks Rob and Peter. I'll try to get some more pics shortly. Meantime, after using it as a paint mule, I couldn't stop and ended up building the Keaton Batmobile.
  11. I gave it a spray tonight. The oder is very negligible. It smells a bit like Tamiya X20A which I used to thin it. I used a 50/50 mix. It sprays very nice. Here's the black on what else, the Batmobile. It dries quickly too. I tried the grey as well. This is on Front Mission mech. It's not completely solid as I was just mucking about but again, it goes on nice and smooth. I'll definitely be picking up the thicker Mr Surfacer 500 to see how that works.
  12. The braided ignition cable looks great. How is it attached to the harness/housing? Carl
  13. "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!!!" Or something like that.
  14. Doubt it. It's still not a pretty plane.
  15. Tamiyablog posted a build video of the new F-35. The engineering is truly impressive as they put the kit' major components together without glue. My resolve is weakening.
  16. Sounds like a nice trip. Except for the uninvited passenger. Get better soon, Carl
  17. They had a Mr Surfacer 500 too but I only bought the 1000 which is much thinner. I'll grab the 500 next time and let you know.
  18. It may have but i was distracted by the Border Lanc kit they had. No, that didn't follow me home.
  19. I had to stop by the LHS as my son is attending a classmate's birthday party tomorrow. He wanted to get him a tank model so I picked up one of those WWToons Panzer III. A Gundam may followed me home as well. More interesting was the new Mr Surfacer. One of the guys at the shop has been using it and says it goes on smooth like a baby bottom. You use regular Tamiya X20A thinner instead of lacquer thinner so I'll find out soon enough.
  20. Finally saw this kit in the wild. My LHS has one in stock. I really thought the box would be bigger but it explains why so many are coming with cracked canopies.
  21. Unless it's Pearl Harbor. What a travesty.
  22. She's got legs!!! ..and knows how to use them. Wings and tip tanks too apparently.
