I think I read about this tip on an old thread on this forum , it's genius , cost me nothing and works with my superglue as well . -
Hasegeewow F8E USMC 1966 Crusader - RFI

An evening decaling . Cartograph decals got to love them ! Even though this is a curvy bird, they went on without drama. I needed a coupla shots of the old microsol to settle down those nose stars ....and that was all , the rest behaved. Now to do the other side. Only downer so far is the inside of the canopy looks marked ...I'm happy with the fit ...but it can't come off without probably destroying it . Hmmm. -
I know Harwell as it's just down the road from us ( that photo actually is the campus) , but the catapult was a new one . Can't imagine trying to catapult a fully laden Lanc, they struggled at the best of times.
-
Yeah sure Maru ...aircraft catapult ......my ears ....thats a UFO landing pad for when the lizard people came in 1941. ...Harwell went on to be the centre for anti gravity ...the Nuclear Science government lab . Even today the saucer is still there , visible on Google earth.

Hmmmm.... fit was a bit hit and miss , can't say building this was any huge fun experience . Shame - looked good in the box. Just shows how little use all those "opening the box " reviews are 🙄

So this is vanilla start point . Thought I had "pre" pix, but obvs not . I've over painted the grey and white to knock the preshading back down . so will sit with a coffee in the morning and work out what next ! Didn't like the canopy fit on the first attempt , we will see how presentable it is when the tape comes off ...that may want work as well . zoom zoom ... PW -
Started this a while ago , it's me working out the best way of doing Light Gull Grey and White paint schemes ..which I think I answered using Tamiya acrylics on the recent Skyraider. So in sequence this was before the Skyraider , I used MRP paint of the grey, pre shaded way to much and set it aside and concentrated on the A1. .Then I squirrelled and did the Ferret , and built a SH Tempest for a GB elsewhere. so we are back here again ...and it's a Hobby 2000 Polish repop of the 2003 Hasegawa tooling . I've bought a bunch of ordnance to fill it out a bit . 'Eres the look I'm going for .VMF 235 , Da Nang 1966. Yup , clean... is for kittens IMHO .. Same Squadron - lots of bombs and dirt from the Zunis

I sold one of my tank models to the bloke who runs Armourtek , they are down the road from me in nearby Hampshire . He paid a lot less for the 1/35 than I'd have paid him for one of his 1/6th . -
That couple looks familiar

The Scharnhorst 1/200 by Trumpter-Operation Paderborn

Always liked Scharnhorst more than Bismark, and I think Lutjens commanded both in his time . Norway , Channel Dash or North Cape era ? Personally think you are v brave , that lil destroyer drove me nuts, as much as I'd like to make a bit ship , that'll be one for my retirement days . -

1/32 Shuttlecraft
PanzerWomble replied to ScottsGT's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Always strikes me as funny, I bet the original props studio settled on some random colour that they had a bunch of lying around from the previous project , and 60 years on it's the subject of much study and speculation Heard similar tales about the original Michael Myers masks , which was Captain Kirk facemask adultered in an afternoon by the props firm ( they did a Nixon and Spock to , the director choosing Kirk ), and now people spend $1000's replicating them . -
Mottling looks nice ...that softener - looks more like battery acid . Sorry to see it's taken a whack out of your model .

"Felt like a like bar fight" ......falling out of a moving car ....whats a heavy bar fight feel like ..freight train ? 😀 -
Yeah odd how politicians seem to work as if it's their ideas that matter - not the people who elect and pay for their fat asses. Oxford near me is working hard to ban cars altogether to make it easier for Chinese students to cycle around whilst taking all out science back to their corrupt regime .
