  1. Love a bit of James May. His life size Lego house was also very good, as was the Meccano motorbike which (eventually) managed a lap of the Isle of Man TT course.
  2. The new Mirage 2000D and ZM Hs129 are my wish list. Santa are you listening?????
  3. Mine would be the 5th Solvay Conference in Oct 1927 when Schrodinger, Dirac, Pauli, Einstein, Curie, Heisenberg, Bohr, Born, etc were discussing the new idea of quantum theory. I'd love to have heard the arguments and ideas about what the hell they'd actually come up with.
  4. Great to see prize and subject together. Obviously I wasn't at the show but hard to disagree with Ernie's sentiment. I'd be interested to see pics of what managed to top this!
  5. Knew two brothers who were Alistair and Peter Ness - ANess and PNess! Their parents obviously didn't think it through or didn't have the puerile sense of humour of a bunch of teenage boys.
  6. Had a Chinese student once who'd picked Tardis as their anglicised first name. Must have been a Dr Who fan.
  7. Yep, I'd rather shoot myself than listen to that little ......
  8. Stokes, Headingley 2019.... Caddick, Sydney 2003... Our Kiwi rejects do seem to like turning it on against the Aussies!
  9. Have a good one Bill.
  10. Oh, I do love a mobile pillbox. These things are the ultimate triumph of function over appearance. Not sure where the details above came from Phil but they must have taken a helluva detour to make it 110 miles from Conde-sur-Noireau to the front. We've holidayed around there a few times and it's at most 60 miles to the beaches. The Suisse Normande is a lovely area.
  11. Hi Dale. colours look ok other than the dark green which looks a bit 'olive' in the photos but that may just be how it appears on screen. The ability to 'live with' things is always a hard one. Hope the kid likes it anyway.
  12. Have certainly seen a few 'interesting' interviews with him. Not sure his head is a space I'd want to visit!
  13. The razorback at least avoids the awful spine inserts that the Trumpy bubbletops have. Still build into nice kits though. You can also happily leave out most of the supercharger assembly without any detriment to the build.
  14. Good luck Martin. Hope it goes well for you. I'll miss your slightly 'warped' sense of humour and memes!
  15. Look forward to seeing your work on this Danny. I'm intrigued as to how those resin water products work, so keen to see how your dio progresses. I can sympathise with the lack of mojo - my Greek A7 build is grinding along slowly as I'm struggling to get the oil dot fading to look how I want it in my head. I know how it 'should' look and I can get it there on the paint mule but it's just not happening on the real thing. I'm gonna give it a couple of more weeks and if I'm still stuck I'm going to start a new armour build for a change up.
  16. Big congrats Ernie. Beautifully executed and just so different.
  17. Thanks Ryan. Never tried the Model Air paints but have used the 'ordinary' Vallejo for brush painting and found it nice to use. Will look to pick some up next I'm near our nearest model store.
  18. Love the engine Ryan. I've never managed to get the hang of drybrushing to the extent of doing work like that. What's the secret?
  19. Very tempting. Lots of nice unusual schemes and operators.
  20. Definitely tempted to make this my first ZM. It's just such an ugly airframe!
  21. Congrats! Hope you can fix the rigging on the stack.
  22. Hey, Jeroen's 'wings off' schtick is contagious!
  23. Just stunning work. Hope you go well in the contest.
  24. Anyone able to 3D print a 1/32 Snoopy?????
