8 psi! Never worked that low. Is it worth turning the compressor on, or do you just use a straw!??

Thanks Rich. Have made a start on the primer but the trailer has sooo many nooks and crannies it took three sessions just to get it all covered. More soon I hope.

As Danny says it's great to know you have the ability and opportunity to build cool (well we think so!) things as and when you like. Personally, I like basic construction and weathering as my favourite parts of the process. Some things I find less enjoyable - stencils on jets, fiddly PE - but they're still better than most of the alternatives.

Stunning results and the touch ups don't seem too onerous. Going to look fantastic when it's done.

Very nice result, especially with a brush. Your first two subjects are certainly challenging for you as the 'simple' grey schemes are a lot less forgiving compared to other less monochrome schemes. I've always found the type of paint has a huge influence on the quality of the result I can get with a brush but you seem to have found a good range there right of the bat.

Both lovely displays and highlighting some very skilful paintwork. Nice demonstration of the size of the Peacemaker as well.

Thanks Rob, although there has been a bit of a change in plan for this after I got this book and accompanying paint set from the kids for Christmas. It's got me in the mood to try a real rusty civilian version of this such as these examples So instead of a Greek AMX-30 on the back it will have this.... Never built anything remotely like this but elmarriachi did some great builds of similar industrial subjects, so in at the deep end I go! My thought is it's going to be completely a 'what if' so I can weather as much or as little as I want and can't be wrong.

Long time since I posted any progress on this as I got on a roll finishing off the A7. Anyway this is the current status - all basic construction done including all the wheels. God, there are a lot of wheels! Tractor Apologies, these last two are out of focus. The anti-slip plates were scratched using PE from Royal Model in Italy. The string is a bit 'fluffy' but I'm hoping I can tone that down with the paint. Trailer Next step is priming with Ammo's rust primer.

Just as well they were empty as well or he may not have been on the ground for long!

Like Hubert I always decant the AS-12 as you've a lot more control through the AB. It's a great base coat for chipping as it sets like a rock and looks like a slightly faded bare metal.

Nice catch Dale. Not a vehicle really designed for the roads in the Ardennes. Made great roadblocks and pillboxes but that was about it. Too big for every bridge in the place.

They were very funny back in the 90s before Hugh Laurie went 'Hollywood'.

Looking forward to this. Heard it's a nice kit but helos have a space issue for me unless you can fold the rotors. Only helicopter I've ever been in. Many, many moons ago I got a lift in an Air Sea Rescue one during a mountain rescue. Just about the noisiest thing I've ever experienced - probably only Motorhead concerts beat it!
