  1. Gonna need sturdy legs to hold up that much resin - the wings alone will weigh a fair whack!
  2. Lt Col John Frost and his men at the bridge in Arnhem during Market Garden. Immensely brave to hold out as long as they did knowing it was essentially futile.
  3. I know a few areas in Scotland where the best/cheapest source of lead sheet like that is the local church roof!
  4. You're putting some serious work into this Cees. I'd love a large(r) scale Halifax but this is beyond my skillset or patience!
  5. I'm in as well. Need to dig something out.
  6. Forgot to say, Happy Birthday too!!
  7. Hope the house build goes well. Having done one, the winter weather can be a pain.
  8. Some good shouts there Rog. A Wellington would be brilliant. I inherited a wooden one which was built for my dad by his uncle, who was a carpenter, just after the war but it's long since gone. The geodesic structure gives lots of textural options as well.
  9. Very neat work on the PE Jeroen. I guess you're soldering it looking at the neatness?
  10. Holy crap that's a lot of dials! Don't screw your eyes Ernie!
  11. That's a great shout Harv. I'd forgotten all about Cockle Shell Heroes but it was a great film and story
  12. Well Dale, I'd go a Saab Viggen just because I love the double delta, the splinter cammo and they just look totally functional, no 'fancy bits'! In terms of manufacturer I'd say Tamiya for quality and engineering but that ain't ever happening, so I'll go Fly as they're doing the Tunan and this might almost be a possibility.
  13. Nice work with the brass Danny. Looks a lot better as you say,
  14. Good to see you back Maru, we've missed you around here. Sorry for the thread creep
  15. I've seen diorama bases that looked like they had more flavour than those Melba Toasts Carl. Look like they would need a big drink to wash down. Glad to hear they're gonna set you free soon.
  16. I'll go 633 Squadron Heroes of Telemark Tora Tora Tora Battle of the River Plate The Cruel Sea Just remind me of childhood Saturday evenings at my grandparents back in the 70s when there seemed to be a war movie on every week
  17. Have a good one Ron and many more to come
  18. Great news Carl, glad to hear all went well.
  19. Good one Drdave. Very realistic heart but the patient looks a bit 'armless
  20. All the best Carl, hope it all goes to plan.
  21. All the snow ploughs in Scotland are GPS equipped and trackable on a website or app. They even held a poll to get kids to suggest names for them all. So we have Sir Andy Flurry, Gritty Gritty Bang Bang, Luke Snowalker, Gritty Gonzalez, etc!
  22. Stay positive Carl. Bypass surgery is 'no walk in the park' but at the same time it's also 'no big deal' nowadays, if that makes sense. We see many post-op patients at work and the vast majority thrive afterwards. The rehab can be tedious but if you keep it up the results are worthwhile. A pretty young physio always helps!
  23. Think it's all been said above Ernie but don't fret about it and just do what feels 'right'. If that's American Woman as loud as you can, good on ya.
  24. Nice work Ron. The thin card probably conforms better to the curves than the PE sometimes does.
  25. Sorry to hear that Carl and I hope they get it resolved quickly. Hopefully anything will be 'stentable' during the angio. Don't know about over there but here they do most angios now via the arteries in the wrist rather than the groin and it's a whole lot better. Stay strong!
