  1. Could be a short game of curling when that 'stone' meets another in the house Martin! Where the hell do you find this stuff? The problem with curling now is that it's lost it's original purpose which was to hang around outdoors at a Bonspiel for long enough to necessitate the drinking of large quantities of whisky to keep yourself warm. God knows how many Scotsmen fell through the ice of frozen lochs back in the old days when attempting to get home.
  2. Remember driving our campervan down near Greymouth in South Island, New Zealand and seeing a big sign at the side of the road which basically said 'if you see a Possum please run it over'. Just about drove off the road laughing!
  3. Great work with the resin casting Bill and that scratch seat looks great.
  4. Ah, you sampled the deep-fried Mars bar then?! You don't get to be the heart-attack capital of the world without effort! As someone who works in the health service and sees the end results it's unfortunately true that we can find ways to deep-fry just about anything.
  5. Nice Ivan, you can't beat a bit of Mr Claypool and co. Suitably weird for this current thread as well!
  6. I do like the Maketar masks although the roundels can be fiddly. Those are fairly simple ones though so hopefully all will be well.
  7. Nice looking choice of scheme. It'll certainly test the old airbrushing skills!
  8. Nice, what's the plan for the tracks? Are you going to use some of the 'blackening' solutions available?
  9. Wow, that seems early for snow even for you guys' latitude? Here in Scotland even October is pretty early for any snowfall other than in the mountains.
  10. Great figures Iceman. Just what scale are they? If they're LSP scale I'm giving up right now!
  11. Wings on is a big step for you Jeroen given some of your recent projects!
  12. Thanks for that Cees. Timing isn't set yet and the new headache is whether we'll need an international permit to drive on the continent after the March farce.
  13. Really nice and the figures look great.
  14. NINE! I don't think I've built that many kits total since the first F4 Corsair came out.
  15. This was a black labrador before someone left that skunk odour remover on it for too long!
  16. Nice Danny. I take it the book is in anticipation of a future release?
  17. Thanks Dennis. Nice to see you're still around.
  18. Ah, you can't beat a bit of bulk buying.
  19. Great. Where exactly is the museum Cees? We're planning a driving holiday to Europe next year, so it would be ferry to Ijmuiden then onwards, so we could fit it in on the way (if my wife agrees!).
  20. Good grief. I hate to imagine the next photo a fraction of a second later. Hope the crew had popped out by that point!
  21. Looks like they're buying some serious tech and ordnance as well as the basic airframes.
  22. Seems like smart move Ernie. I can't imagine trying to mask windows on a vac canopy/window at that scale.
  23. I think you do get a decent sense of the oil-canning in those pics Ernie and as you say it looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing how they come out.
  24. Another gem Micha. Just love that dirty windscreen.
  25. Help, I need new eyes! That's a lot of small text. Possibly shouldn't have read it on my tablet! Very interesting read though, thanks Martin.
