The problem with curling now is that it's lost it's original purpose which was to hang around outdoors at a Bonspiel for long enough to necessitate the drinking of large quantities of whisky to keep yourself warm. God knows how many Scotsmen fell through the ice of frozen lochs back in the old days when attempting to get home.

Remember driving our campervan down near Greymouth in South Island, New Zealand and seeing a big sign at the side of the road which basically said 'if you see a Possum please run it over'. Just about drove off the road laughing!

I do like the Maketar masks although the roundels can be fiddly. Those are fairly simple ones though so hopefully all will be well.

I think you do get a decent sense of the oil-canning in those pics Ernie and as you say it looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing how they come out.
