  1. Sweet. Nothing like building a Hasegawa kit to get the juices flowing. Right Cees ?
  2. Ooooh.... I love that seat. And the corrugated firewall... Lovely work!
  3. Hahahahaha! And I think Cees is already asleep!
  4. Hahaahaha! Yes! I remember sitting there for well over an hour. That was actually the moment I started experimenting with the technique even though my body language seems to say I'm bored out of my mind Well spotted!
  5. Hi Jorge, The cradle the wings and fuselage will rest on are american made and designed to store the Ta152 until restoration commences. All the info i have on them are from the walk around photo's you see in this topic...
  6. Masked out the english markings and faded them with hairspray technique.
  7. Nice! Lovely camo and interesting markings.
  8. Thank you! Looked at some more photo's from right after the capture and see what you mean. Yesterday I spotted that the english markings were painted over the large cross and didn't quite understand. Now i do. Jim's builds cannot be compared to mine, since he gets a lot off magazine commission requests. In that sense he also builds 48th scale (which aren't featured here on the forum) and is not always allowed by the magazines to post during the build. He and I are very close friends bound by black humour, which can sometimes cause confusion )) Anyhoo! I'm going to spray the second and larger swastika now and perhaps the english markings later on today. I will add the white outline of the higher swastika later with a white pencil. Cheers!
  9. Jim the Kettle? I don't follow.. I scourged some old masks from my spare parts box. Trying to figure out the layers of paint that i need to build up. I'm slightly sanding the black swastika paint down to get a faded look. The swastika you see here is the original one, positioned higher than the US painted later one. Sandwiched between these old and new swastika is the RAF red white and blue square.
  10. I'm doing the paintwork patch by patch, using the photo references as a guide. The tail and fuselage will be the hardest. Using RLM76, RLM82 and various lighter shades of grey to achieve the patchwork faded look. Also using some hairspray and Alclad to beat things up. Step 2: And some panels:
  11. Wow! I've never done casting before, but this looks sweet. I seem to have missed it, but why are you casting the nose cone again?
  12. Wow! What a lovely result from an AModel kit... I've had my hands on a few and quickly sold them off: thinking: One day WnW will treat us to a Nieuport. Thnx for sharing!
  13. On a roll now. Applying the Mr Hobby paints very very diluted as always. One pass with the airbrush won't show anything. About 6 passes will and 10 might make a colour-true coat. A very forgiving technique.
  14. Welcome to LSM! Looks like you're in the right place. Great builds and thank you for introducing yourself. Cheers, Jeroen
  15. Progress. First RLM76 is on. The Boss Modelclaw really comes in handy here.
  16. Even though I shouldn't be starting any new builds, this GB is a great excuse! Here we go!
  17. Lovely review! I hope to find a 3d printer one day with this detail capacities.
  18. Hmmm.. I sometimes use Micro Clear to make small windows... Just use a toothpick and close the window opening to create a membrame..
