Absolutely beautiful, all your hard work with the surface details and attention to details in the painting are second to none, just lovely!

Thanks for this big compliment Anthony! Much appreciated!

Peter,

Rocky Balboa just won the fight against the peeled off paint:

nothing visible anymore…

and corrected an overspray here:

The exhaust nozzle is really a contrast to the sand color:C0576013-12E3-4C10-89A7-02C181093821.thumb.jpeg.d649ed369e4288caaf6cd40f2e9f06aa.jpeg

Now on to the grey panels on the fin…

PS: is it done yet  ?

Thank you Hubert!

To answer your question: You still have to buy some popcorn. ;)

What a stunning result, Kai!  Absolutely perfect painting!

Thank you Gary.

The camouflage scheme was the most complicated and time consuming.

Hope that I can speed up with the rest now. :D

Of course you realise that if I become any fatter than I already am because of all this popcorn, the blame will be on you 😂 ?

Taking this into account I will even speed up more Hubert!
I don’t want to be responsible that you hate popcorn in the end (and have some more kilos that have to be trained away :D)!

And you should keep something for the other beautiful builds here.

Or is it my duty to fill up your storage…?🤔

Short update: Nose and part of the pitot painted flat black:

and the grey antenna-cover-decals attached. Was too lazy to paint them since they fit very well and their color is good (printed by Cartograph):

Grey panels along the fin.

and one behind the Cockpit.

That‘s it for now. Next step is to do some small touch-ups at the intakes (I removed the masking inside them today) and painting the accessories (Shafrir 2-Rockets and Wheels) and then preparation for decals.

At Hubert: Isn‘t ready yet but one more step done!  :D

Beautiful result, adding contrast with the nose cone painting and decaling.
I always wonder, why, and not only in this case, air forces of all times bother with camouflage, only to top it with vivid colored markings.

Cheers Rob

Thanks for your feedback!

You are right Rob. This will be one example where camouflage isn’t really necessary. It’s only done to make life more complicated for us modelers.

The triangles were used by the Israelis for identification purposes in air combat.
Was soon copied by the Egyptians on their MiG21…Great value for high painting efforts…;)

Next small update from my side.

Reworked the demarcation lines between the upper and lower colors because they didn’t please me:

Then I cleaned up the wheel wells and painted the gun-troughs with Alclad gunmetal:

Finally  I removed the color from the wing fueltanks because the seam between the upper and the lower part was slightly visible. Repainted them with Alclad white aluminum:

Thats all for now. Happy modeling!

Getting those small details right is the difference between something that makes you happy, and something that makes you look at all of the mistakes, however small.  Keep up the excellent work!

A while ago I tiled our ensuite bathroom from ceiling to floor.  Whether I'm shaving or shitting...   I often look around at my errors.
