with the lotus almost done time to start another great car

Yes again a Model Factory Hiro kit so progress slow and long

what the car looks like

ready for clean up and adding extra details

The plan is to add extras to the kit that are not there like all the rivets

i have order about 900 of them so keep your eyes open.

Also a few bottels of alclad

Thats it for the start

i will try to take pics off the parts before clean up after with extra detail and paint on

yes the price is high but the kits i have are second hand so that already better than the retail

And another iconic car ... although I still prefer the GT-40 and even the 908. And then it was replaced by the 512,  which, although red, was always in the shadow of the 917.

yes the GT40 also a great car maybe one day going to build that to

I'm not much of a car bum and don't care a bit about more modern Ferraris, but this is a true beauty with all the curves in the right place. I will buckle in and follow your build.

thank you all for the intresd on this project

first part cleand up

like you can see the rivets are just dodts in the white metal

the plan will be to make them raisd so stay tuned for that work

Also didt a dry fit

a bit off bending to make it fit

How do you clean up the white metal and metal parts? Are you planning on using Archer rivets?

I clean them up with sand paper first with 600 and i stop with 1500

Best is to where gloves or your hands turn black from the dust and you leave fingerprints behind.

still needs primer so the small scratches will go away

 

For the rivets i will use resin from masterclub the are in the mail to me

also i have metal rivets in difrent sizes and forms

that will be a lot off holes to make but it will look beter that way.

I just checked out MasterClub products and they are amazing. The US distributor; HobbyWorld seems to be out of stock on a lot of items but what's new these days.
