Peterpools Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 I just read this announcement on Sprue Brothers website: NEW FAMILY OF 1:32 F-4 PHANTOMS In partnership with Phantom Phreaks, we have been working on a very special project that we can finally announce - a new family of 1:32 F-4 Phantom kits. Twelve (12) versions are planned beginning in 2022. Tentatively the first release will be the F-4B. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months. Click here to see the video announcement If this is really going to happen, I couldn't ask for more Keep 'em comin Peter 4
smitty44 Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Since I spent a couple hundred on resin for an F-4B conversion. Exciting though. 3
Bomber_County Posted August 20, 2021 Posted August 20, 2021 Intriguing, the 48th is big the 32nd is going to be a behemoth….. 3
Peterpools Posted August 20, 2021 Author Posted August 20, 2021 Phil Just want one: the F4B and she sure is going to be BIG! And the news coming from SB, has to be solid. Keep 'em comin Peter 3
BlrwestSiR Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 This could get... ..expensive. Guess I better get going on the Tamiya ones in the stash so I'll be burned out on Phantoms by the times these come out. At least that way my wallet will thank me. Carl 1 2
recon Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Talked with the people here about thePhantoms and he said that the “B” will be the 1st one. Mike 3
recon Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 He also mentioned that they are looking to release it in the spring of next year. The cost is around $300.00. Mike 3 2

Mike In which case they are in the same ballpark as a Tamiya Phantom with all the bells and whistles to make it an up-to-date 1/32 replica. Hubert 4
belugawhaleman Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 Jeeeez! I know for some, perhaps many, this is great news, but $300.!! 4
Peterpools Posted August 21, 2021 Author Posted August 21, 2021 Looking forward to the F4B and I'm sure for $300, it is going to be my one expensive purchase for the year. Keep 'em comin Peter 3
mark31 Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 nice to hear there will be new phantoms. But with 4 tamiyas in the stash i will pass and make the best out off the old kits. Mark 5

Peterpools Posted August 21, 2021 Author Posted August 21, 2021 Mark and Jerry My wife Diane feels the same way but in the end never really says much when the new kit(s) show up. Keep 'em comin Peter 4 2
smitty44 Posted August 21, 2021 Posted August 21, 2021 I'll take an RF-4B, the rest I have covered. 4
ScottsGT Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 I still have 13 phantoms in my stash, only built 3 so far. One was a B conversion using GT Resin and Zotz decals and Rhino intakes. I have about $350 wrapped up in that one. 5
BlrwestSiR Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 I bought the Zotz decal sheets for the B that Eli released but not the conversion sets. Might finally have a use for them. Carl 3
smitty44 Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 This conversion is way better than GT. You dont have to cut the wing. F-4B/N Conversion Set (realmodel.cz) 2 2
ScottsGT Posted August 22, 2021 Posted August 22, 2021 Nice conversation kit. Often wondered why Gary didn’t just make an entire new part. Now that the build has some age on it, there is some shrinkage on the seam. In the right lighting it can be seen. 3

F-4B/N Conversion Set (realmodel.cz) There sure is some good stuff coming out of Eastern Europe now. I couldn’t be happier. 4 1
recon Posted August 23, 2021 Posted August 23, 2021 I have GT resins conversion. Going to build that one. $300.00 is too expensive for me. Mike 3
Mark sutula Posted January 2, 2022 Posted January 2, 2022 Considering the amount of time that will be spent on building the new F4… $300 is reasonable. Remember our hobby is one of the least expensive hobbies out there when you consider radio control, Trains, slot cars, etc. etc. I will argue that we need to support these guys so that they keep bringing out better and better kits. 2
Peterpools Posted January 17, 2022 Author Posted January 17, 2022 MISSING: The SB F4 kit Video, it's not there! Anyone know if this means the kit has been cancelled? Keep 'em comin Peter 2
