GusMac Posted November 8, 2021 Posted November 8, 2021 Nice steady progress harv. I really like the subject but not sure I could be bothered with all the work this kit needs. 👍 2 1
harv Posted November 8, 2021 Author Posted November 8, 2021 Well so far I'm actually enjoying the challenge...so far. It is an awful lot of work. Plus Fly instructions ,and none with the resin......harv 3

Shouldn't it be the same? Also aren't they supposed to the placed ( as a rectangles) in horizontal position rather than vertical ? 2 1

harv Posted November 9, 2021 Author Posted November 9, 2021 Martin, the 2 windows are langer because of the guns.....harv 2
Martinnfb Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Ok, I. might not express myself clearly. You said mission accomplished , how so,, if one window is still remaining small. The orientation of the window opening is wrong, see picture bellow please 1 2
Peterpools Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Martin Now that's a major fix that Harv has to do - I wonder why the manufacturer used the wrong window orientation: portrait when it should have been landscape in photographic terms? Keep 'em comin Peter 2
Martinnfb Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 If I understand correctly, There was no instructions available for the conversion. 1
harv Posted November 10, 2021 Author Posted November 10, 2021 The Fly kit molds are for both the HU 5 and HC 2 . The HC2 has smaller windows than the HU5. So the HU5 windows have to be enlarged anyway. The two that are bigger were modified to allow the machine guns. The bigger windows are my doing. Not part of the conversion....harv
smitty44 Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 Some crazy armor or reinforcement on there, yikes. 3
Martinnfb Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 I get it now, your are not placing the windows in, just keeping it with the whole panel removed. I stand corrected , duh Martin 1 1
