Hey guys

I received this from Andy about two weeks ago. I plan on doing a build on this, probably after I finish the 1/16 Panzer iv ausf h.

1_f75a9936-c5e5-48d5-8b36-23b5aed3bca2_540x.jpgThis is a pretty nice kit, though there are a lot of sceptics out there. It my not be absolutely perfect if your a rivet counter, but it will make a nice big kitty!

Mine's on its way Ron! I've seen Andy's video's - everything from the early test shot to the full production kit. It's definitely an early Tiger ... But ... Since I refuse to build anything SS related, It won't be Wittmann's! It'll probably be built as a Kursk Tiger ... maybe from 505 or something.

Rog :)

I’m intrigued here, when the scale of an AFV goes from 35th to 16th are the details scaled up proportionally and therefore enhanced. Also because of the larger scale presumably there will be a lot more detail. I say this because the likes of Dragon and RFM etc are producing some exquisite detail at 35th…….I’ve never seen a 16th in the flesh hence my question…….

It's here, my Kotare Spitfire. Would not have been possible if it wasn't for Carl jumping in and saving the day.

Carl is amazing, selflessly helpful and dedicated friend.
you gonna love the kit Peter, it’s beautiful and simply falls together. And that comes from a semi blind guy with sausage fingers :)

Here’s mine after three days of work.

Phil, do you know that Dragon has a line of 1/6 armour kits? They even did my favourite Sherman, a 1C Firefly in that scale. Thankfully I missed it or I'd have been in big trouble.

Hey Carl

I have the Sherman kit M4A3 7M/105. It is basically a 1/35 scale kit scaled up to 1/6 scale, and it is HUGE!!!

My LHS had that one in. I thought it was a case of Shermans and not a single kit. Huge is an understatement.

Just got back from the post office. They had a package from HLJ for me.

Almost 40 years after the movie came out, there's finally a IM kit of Cain  from Robocop 2.

Okay, the movie wasn't that great but still!

Next up is a dragon because well, dragons are cool!

I'm trying to think of a kit that my Granddaughter would love to build and paint.  She's only 6 now and more interested in technology than  models.  I wonder if there is hope with a dragon line this?  How tall is the dragon supposed to be?

Gary, I'm about to head to work but I'll get you some pics of the contents and size when I'm back.

Being a Bandai kit, it's going to be a press fit so glue won't be required.

Here's some pics of the kit contents. Moulded in colour so there's no need to paint it.

Wings are done with a translucent sheet.

There's a clear stand too.

According to HLJ, the wings are 265mm each in span. Couldn't find a length for it.

My LHS here in Toronto has it in stock so you should be able to find it outside Japan.

Thank you Carl.  I appreciate you taking the time to show me.

That might be too complicated for a little girl.  Might have to start her on a dinosaur or something.   Right now, outside of minecraft and youtube about minecraft...  ...and other crap no kid should be watching.  I have no idea what will catch her interest.

Bandai do Pokemon models. They're fairly simple and somewhat inexpensive around $10 each. Then there are the Toon tanks by Meng. Some come in non standard colours too.

Arrived the past week and my planned purchases for this year are almost complete with just two more kits to be added and some AM as well.

Dug this out of the stash to accompany the Skyraider.
