Throwing first paint against the jigs.

The wings and fuselage need more rivets and polishing before they'll see any...

Cheers guys! Thnx.

I've started the riveting. As you can see on the 32nd scale Kagero drawings, there's some work to do :)

Also drilled out some more access panels in the center section.

(and no that is no blood on my scriber. Made a bottle of red paint explode last year and that stuff was EVERYWHERE).

Sorry for the slow progress, but I want to take my time on the surface structure.

If you look at the walk around photo's, you can clearly see the rivets. Originally these won't have been this visible, but the tooth of time made them stand out:

Also note the missing ailerons... I might add them anyway though...

Good work there Jeroen, looks nicely aged in the flap wells.  I think at least one aileron on would be good.  Very few Garber personnel remain that were there when those wings were loaded on that shelving, so who knows?

Cheers guys!

The more i look at reference photo's, the more I see that needs altering / detailing.

If you look at this photo, you'll see 2 things. The wingtips are missing, and so are the ailerons.

I needed to saw off the wingtips and scratch a flange with fastener holes that follows the wings shape and I need to scratch the aileron hinges.

Little progress. Started paintwork and trying to use the walk around photo's as a colour guide.

Many layers with hairspray between each one.
