Maybe the Revell release will sort some of that out. Looking good! Thanks Mike! I agree, I still can't believe no one at Dragon proofread/ built the kit following their instructions. BlrwestSiR
Crazy weekend with family stuff but I snuck away long enough to paint the wings. The wingtips need some touchup as you can see above so that'll be next. In the meantime, a quick trial run: Carl

It's now ready to go into the fuselage and then I'll be able to close it up. Carl Love the painting, we have very similar finishing styles. I don't generally do too much on the weathering side of things. My most weather beaten build is still my Birdcage Corsair. 1 hour ago, NigelR32 said: Wow!! looks great!! I'm using a profile out of one of Kagero's Battle of Britain books as the reference.

I'm really liking it as well. It's a touch more expensive than Gunze here in Canada but it seems to be easier to find so that should balance things out. But the pics for this plane show a somewhat dirty finish so I'm going to try for one. Not my usual that's for sure. BlrwestSiR
The Bf 110 seemed to carry some very heavy exhaust staining in almost all in service pics I've seen so I added some using Tamiya smoke. The other side of the nacelle where the exhaust goes under the wing. I then added a bit of olive drab to the staining to add a bit more opacity.

BlrwestSiR
Thanks Harv! I got a bit more done today. The hubs and props are next up. Then it was time to do the MGs. Here's the kit ones in the middle of removing the stock barrels. I need to do the outer pair of nose guns next. I also masked off and painted on the crosses.

Ryan
Nice work on the exhaust wash, it matches the rest of your style. I was lucky enough to pick up the Cyberhobby 110 E-2/ Trop and the Revell HE III P at a local show for $100 US, both kits I have been wanting. Peterpools
Carl Awesome work ... cammo and paint work is supremely done. When it comes to weathering or very slight weathering: No mystery as I'm in the slightly weathering camp all the way. Keep 'em comin Peter

CrankyCrafstman
WOW Carl you are an amazing modeller. This is some impressive work. Its geat seeing you working with your sons. I tried with my son but alas no go, so I'm working with my grandson on a Bandi kit hoping that the modeling bug takes, but it's hard to fight the video games

I've got the Trop as well as a third kit for the AiMs G4 conversion. I'll have to see when I get to those in the cue. Good to hear you're trying with the grandson at least. Bandai kits are a great intro. They're well engineered, go together well and can be played with after assembly if they're gentle enough. I think I'm lucky as far as my boys go. They're both more interested in building/making stuff with their hands than video games at the moment. We've got all the game consoles in our house (they're mine actually) but they've only recently discovered Nintendo and they're happy to play it at their friends' houses. The biggest fight for their attention is just plain old TV.
