ScottsGT
So that clean bench post got me motivated yesterday. I was out of paint drawer space, so I took the top drawer and cleaned it all out. About 90% was junk I simply tossed out. This space on top was a horizontal crap collector I cleaned off. The toolbox on top facing the other direction is my box dedicated to gun cleaning and maintenance, so I keep it facing the other way to keep it accessible because I needed the crap collection area. So I grabbed some scrap wood laying around and made up this shelf Made a run to my local Harbor Freight and picked up these storage organizers and screwed them into the shelf. Re-organized all my stuff to keep as I tossed the rest. Of course I started looking at old projects in need of attention. I picked this one up and now I cannot find the pilot. So I started cleaning more but never could find the little guy, so back on the shelf of doom it went. This one only needed a final spray of semi flat finish to put in the display case. I can not take it off the list. With cleanup done, and one off the shelf of doom, time to break out a new kit. I actually started on it last week waiting on paint to dry on the Skyraider.

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted April 20, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 20, 2020 With the P.11 nearing the finish line, “has it only been three weeks”?, I decided it’s time for some housekeeping. So, first order of business is to expand my HobbyZone racks so today I ordered two extra rows or drawers and three wall mount paint racks. Then, I decontaminated my bench, calling in the entire ICM crew for an afternoon’s work. That white, blue, and yellow IL-76 arriving at DFW today was them arriving with their crew and specialized decontamination equipment We've found solid ground, but will now do a thorough stripping and remodel as needed. I have too many jars of paint, so I need to arrange them better. Good Grief I hate a messy bench! I need to finish the P-47.. Then, I need to wrap up a couple SOD sitters. Wingnut Taube Fisher Skyraider Guppy conversion. (Thanks Scott) But I’ll do mine in GSB just to be different.) Fisher Panther. (A real quick finish here, just need to source a resin Nene from somewhere or make up a few Nene looking parts plus maybe a mesh screen, and viewblocks... Them, back to, and push through on the B-36. I want it on the table in Omaha along with a B-52 if possible. Hopefully someone comes a B-52. After that, we’ll knock out the AEG. Somewhere in there we want H.M.S. Speedy. She will be THE monotony breaker.
