BlrwestSiR Posted May 1, 2023 Share Posted May 1, 2023 I got the tracks for the E-100 assembled and painted. Fur came to supervise the paint job. First side is on. BlrwestSiR Posted May 2, 2023 Share Posted May 2, 2023 Couldn't decide on a camo scheme for the E-100, so I did both! First one, I did some ambush spots but didn't like the way they were turning out so I painted over them. And the other side. The circle dot camo was just taking way too long so I'm glad I started with the skirts. Made it easy to stop there. As for the hull, I'm leaving that in the dark yellow. Since much of the tank is a what-if, I'll just say it's a rebuild with recycled parts from previous ones. Yes, Fursnake was in my lap while I worked. DocRob Posted May 4, 2023 Share Posted May 4, 2023 Playing around with this one. Could be my next project. The DO-335 from Hon Kong Model. Easiest way to depict a twin engine fighter , but it's huge. Some clever engineering was incorporated along with very detailed plastic surfaces. The fit of the main parts looks good, the engine cowlings (front and side) can't be proper test fit, because they have hinges casted on, which need to be cut away for a closed bird. I've got the ZM two seater in the stash as well. Big difference is that HK gives you the nose weights that you need to prevent a tailsitter and the ZM doesn't leave you enough room for the same because of the internal detail. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I need to finish the decals for the entire lower side and then the weathering. Fursnake was not impressed that the Falcon was in her spot, ie- my lap. And tying into Star Wars day, I took my sons to see the 40th anniversary release of Return of the Jedi at our local theatre. npb748r Posted May 8, 2023 Share Posted May 8, 2023 I have 2 on the go, Trumpy's 1/32 F-8 (as an F-8FN) and Eduards Bf108. The 108 is from the stash, I am focused on building and making a dent in this as much as I can this year. The F-8FN is from my shelf of doom. Nothing wrong with the kit but my nemesis in model building is not the building, I'm competent at that, it's the painting and finishing, where I am less so and I really struggle at times. This got stuck on the SoD due to the inability of the paint to flow correctly, sit correctly or cover anything properly. I applied so many coats and each one had issues I just gave up, I think it was too cold in my man cave for the paint. Anyway, it's got to this stage over the last couple of days, I just want it finished so it wont be a stunning work of art but it will be finished. 9 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
