Lol Medieval or not, the result is what counts and your spinner looks great. Never tried to cast myself, except clear resin in wood . Cheers Rob 5

Lol So Martin, how did you do this? I'm assuming you used the kit part as the master for the plaster but what resin putty did you use? May be simple but it definitely worked which is the main thing. 4
Martinnfb Posted October 28, 2021 Author Posted October 28, 2021 That is correct, I used spinner from Fw-190 as the master and Tamiya resin putty. It's expensive, but much better to work with that Apoxy or anything else out there. 3 1
AlanG Posted October 30, 2021 Posted October 30, 2021 Just painted the V-1. Not totally happy with it. But considering what i'll see when it's fitted under the aircraft, it'll do 8

Martinnfb Posted November 1, 2021 Author Posted November 1, 2021 Spinner from He-111 is exactly what I need and what was used in real life, unfortunately it is not available in 1/24 scale. 2

Btw, printing a spinner should not be a big issue. If someone is willing to do the research and give me the basic dimensions and profile, it's a few minutes design, and a few hours' printing job Hubert 3 2

Martinnfb Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 Research is covered :), naturally I will pay for your time and materials as well. 4
HubertB Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 Time is free, and material cost infinitesimal given the likely weight. Hubert 2 1
Martinnfb Posted November 4, 2021 Author Posted November 4, 2021 Hubert , could you please look at this and tell me what is needed to print the wheel in 1/24 scale? https://cults3d.com/en/3d-printing/1-4-scale-fw190-wheel-and-tire 1
HubertB Posted November 4, 2021 Posted November 4, 2021 If the 3D design is already done, I just need the 3D file, either in a usable 3D format or as .stl file (.stl is for 3D printing already). It can then be scaled down to the size needed on the slicer program. If you have only a 2D drawings of, say, a spinner, I need basic dimensions like diameter, length, size of openings, profile. Translating a 2D spinner drawing in 3D is easy enough. Doing a 3D design of a wheel is a lot more involved, as the shape becomes complex. Hubert 5 1
