Jeff Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 I think next time some 'visual pop' would be appropriate, this is a rather dull performance at best ................................. NOT !!!!!! Out-bloody-standing !!!! 1 1
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 8, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 8, 2019 Thanks Jeff. There are strange things done in the midnight sun, by the men who moil for gold.... I’m just full of my old favorites today. Tied one on last night across the street, and they apparently poured me out of my boots into bed last night. Joy was not amused. My head feels like a hairy medicine ball. 2

I think that might be a good prescription for me too ! Joy didn't happen to mention anything about ...... lamp shades, underwear, dancing, neighbors, photographers or CNN? If she didn't, you may be clean on this ........................ 3

Cheers Kev Thanks so much Kev. This ship has been my "gotta build" version of the Lanc now for over 5 years. Building this is almost a dream come true for me. 4
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 ‘Roight then! I found another little issue that needs a small little change. Whatever in blue blazes these camera/light looking thingy dingies are, on this side K26, one thing’s for certain: they must go. They are not on the 10MR 3
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 Next, sand off the housing, fit the part and.... Apoxie Sculpt to the rescue 5
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 I loved it so much, I did both sides for good measure. Now of course, somebody will dig up a pic showing them there and I’ll go ahead and reconstruct them. 5
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 And WTF are parts K28? Yeah some clown will tell me it’s for the degaussing cables... 3
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 Now, an over abundance or silliness can result in stupidity. Such as here. There are many pics of FM104 without screens on the carb intakes, and with HK giving us simple blobs of plastic to represent these scoops, I took it upon myself to hollow them out. Great, and yes, they look pretty good, except idiot here installed the inner ones on the outer nacelle a month or so ago. I thought, “dang, these fit like crap!” Until today, when oops, the ones for the inner engines don’t fit. And then I noticed the shapes are different too. So, I managed to pop them off without screwing them up, and now I can put them on the proper nacelles. Yes, they have totally different shapes. Inners (formerly the otters) are black, correct outers are unpainted Well, I’ve never claimed to be the brightest of bulbs or the sharpest tool in the chest, and this certainly proves it. But, onward we trudge, confident in the knowledge that they DID manage to teach monkeys to fly spaceships, so there’s hope for me yet. 6

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 Martin, now THOSE are cool! 4
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 So that item I eliminated on the wing, what,.... might it be? I Ass-U-Me that it was either a light or a camera. Possibly a gun kill camera for the wing mounted 50s? 5
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted July 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted July 14, 2019 Must remember to attach that form I whittled out into a possible facsimile of the rear view camera. Being that I have no close up pics of it, I basically SWAG’d the whole thing. 3
GazzaS Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Nice saves on the cable cutters Ern. I didn't know the Lanc had them. As for that great big square hole in the leading edge... If we're looking inboard of the inboard engines, I've seen a drawing that shows an L-shaped trunk taking air directly to the fuselage. Gaz 3
