Some items today........ first, from Atlantis their new release of the old Old Monogram kit, the Mack Bulldog. Their MACK BULLDOG STAKE TRUCK (M2402) IN 1/24. I built the Monogram kit back in the late 70's Not a bad kit with good detail as I remember. I haven't opened the box yet to see how the molds have held up. Next; from Red Fox Studio , their Studio Quick Set Acrylic Instrument Panel-Yak-18 MAX (RFSQS32007). This is for the Trumpeter 1/32 Yak-18 Max kit I bought recently. I also got a set of Montex masks (SM32025) for this kit as well as a set of Eduard 1/32 Seatbelts Soviet Union WWII fighters (32875). All this stuff looks pretty nice, especially the Red Fox instrument panels. The Trumpy Yak should be a fun build. last; another Hasegawa resin figure kit.....An "Egg Girl" in 1/12 scale. This time; No.O2 "Amy McDonnell" (rider). As you can see She's halfway out of her protective riding outfit enjoying a beverage. I think I have most of these now and I have four that are ready for painting.

Honda RC166 - Tamiya - 1/12
belugawhaleman replied to DocRob's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Nice work Rob! I've been eyeing that kit on Plaza Japan for some time, but I was a little intimidated after going over the instructions I downloaded from scalemates. It certainly looks like a beautiful kit! Are the spokes metal? Using liquid mask to hold the spokes temporarily,... A great idea. -

Spectacular! Beautiful model and pictures! -
My nearest LHS is about 30 minutes away...It's a small family-owned shop that I've been going to on and off since the 80's. Unfortunately their prices are a little high so I buy mostly online. Nice haul Carl! I've used some of the Alclad line but I have never bought them by the truckload.๐

Average time in US Customs? UPDATE: PayPal is refunding.
belugawhaleman replied to ScottsGT's topic in General Discussion
Very strange.....I think your item may be lost. It may have never actually entered customs. Since you posted this I've had about a dozen items go through customs with no mishaps. Very, very, strange. Like I said earlier, my 10 day wait was because my item arrived during Christmas time and some delay could be expected. -
I'm waiting for Andy's big 1/16 half track to come out but will probably purchase a hard to find Tamiya kit if I can find it. I haven't seen any of their Renault UE kits anywhere.

Oh, I forgot to use my VPN. Gosh!๐ Sorry Martin, even if he appears in my Browsing history and I once was a fan of his I now feel the Stephen king is a Hack....he became political and politically correct and as far as I'm concerned he has become unreadable. The last book I read of his was Mr Mercedes... It was bad. It was hard to believe that it was written by the author of the Dark Tower series or The Stand.

Wow! The prop looks amazing. The Madsen guns were a surprise.. Never saw those on an aircraft. The real guns are a mechanical marvel. Your representation of the fabric covering is always perfect... Love it! All nicely done. A pleasure following your work. BTW what did you use for the brass details on the prop. ? -
Well, I finally donated my beloved 1997 Nissan 240SX last Tuesday. It had been sitting for a year at my Mother's garage waiting for me to decide what to do for it. Seeing it go away on the trailer was sad .....It went with kars for Kids. A great organization by the way...despite that terrible song in their adds . The car had been extremely reliable far all those years. I bought it new in late November 1997 and I admittedly driven it hard all these years. I had made performance modifications to it and it was extremely fast and good handling. It was only rust that got it in the end..Sad to see it go. Anyway, regarding a squirrel that I posted in the Work bench thread recently..... A real Squirrel..... Not a Metaphor. Well again .he disappeared...for a while and recently returned showing some slight injury...he has a little notch out of one ear. We're glad he's alive!! Our short-tailed friend. Still Giving him cookies.

Amazing job so far....looking great! -
Ok, an oddball kit came today...An ugly aircraft, but I find it appealing in a strange way. I refer to Trumpeter's 1/32 Yakovlev YAK-18 Max.(02213) Also some Friulmodel tracks. This time their. M11/39 M13/40, Semovente M40 75/18 M 40, M 14/41, M15/42 M 42 in 1/35.

Nice! You can't beat Plaza for their Tamiya prices! Even with the shipping you get great deals. I'm interested in the Tamiya Mustangs , but I don't have much experience with NMF. I hope you post your builds. I have the P38...bought it at a local ACE hardware of all places.... I did NOT get it cheap.

That's just crazy Scott! I've had problems with shippers and customs before but nothing like this. Have you filed a claim with USPS? -

Amazing detail on the motorcycle! Looks very delicately fragile! I can't wait to see it painted!
