  1. So, Martin, what are these drawings for, a project?
  2. A new one..... A package purchased from a vendor in Indianapolis, delivered to a post office in Indianapolis destined to Beach Park Illinois with expected delivery today, is now at a postal distribution center in San Antonio Texas over 1200 miles from its intended destination. This should have been a one or two day delivery...... Now, who knows?
  3. I saw that There is a Replenishing agent sold by Mr Hobby . I found that some Of my Mr Color paints I bought for my Egg girl projects looked a little, ..well, .."gummy". I just dumped a little more Leveling thinner in and hoped for the best. Worked OK.....but apparently this is what to use. Of course, it doesn't work if you just plain run out.....but I thought I'd just mention it😀 Glad to hear you found what you needed! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0030599C2?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_dt_b_product_details
  4. Well finished😀
  5. Nice work so far😀
  6. Nice! I like these 1/12 Tamiya Motorcycle kits. I have a couple in my stash. Will be following😀
  7. Been looking for this kit for a long time......happy to see it released again. After reading a review on the Perth Military Modeling (now gone) website in which 3 different manufacturers of the same subject were compared.....this one won out. I never could find this kit..until now😀 It's Amusing hobby's Neubaufahrzeug Panzekampfwagen VI Krupp Gepanzerte Ausfuhrung (35A003) in 1/35. This was Germany's first attempt at a heavy tank. It had 3 turrets. I recently saw one of these in archival footage.....restored my interest. Found it for a good price on Andy's online shop. Although the kit comes with individual link tracks, (said to be Modelkasten) I bought a set of Friulmodel tracks for it. I think the Fruils will be easier to assemble. Last, a set from DEFMODEL, it's their Cupola set for the SOMUA S35/Panzer 739 (f) providing cupolas for both types. Anyway, as usual, I hope someone finds this post useful.
  8. Well done Gus😀
  9. Good stuff Carl😀 I have used the dspiae rotary bits. Nice and sharp! Work great.
  10. Your Comet is looking great Carl😀
  11. Nice job on your F-106 😀 I built that kit years ago. Cool to see!
  12. Still working on my Tamiya H39 ..........Just finished assembly of the Friulmodel Tracks. They were a struggle, as I said before, but they look good I think. Next up is painting....... Here are some pics. Of the tracks installed on the model.......
  13. I was glad to see that Archer Transfers has returned https://www.archertransfers.com
  14. As long as it features large aircraft and ship subjects....B52, B36, Tu 95 PT boats etc. Not Armor
  15. I thought twice about posting this so soon after yesterday's post, but here it is..... While looking for the Fine Molds 1/48 kit of the Ohka..I found this 1/32 version by MikroMir.... It's their Yokosuka MXY7 Ohka in 1/32. I'm not too familiar with this brand, but the kit looks OK.... There is some flash here and there, but overall the parts look OK and I think it will build up nice. Lots of small detail parts, photo-etch, canopy masks, decals are included in the kit. I noticed there are separate control surfaces though I'm not sure how these would be posed for an aircraft on the ground. Anyway, although the subject may be bleak, I thought someone might be interested. As an aside, I noticed that parts for the training version are included in the box.....Although I don't know if a complete trainer could be made from the kit. MikroMir also sells the trainer version.
  16. Thanks Carl. I was considering doing the kit without the mantlet cover like the Cuban Example. TREX makes a couple of versions ; early and late....which to buy? Is the kit an Early or late Comet? I think the kit fabric cover looks ok to me.The TREX resin tracks look great but a failed attempt with their T55 tracks has me worried....tiny pins and extremely fragile. Anyway I'm glad to see you're building the kit😀
  17. Nice work. I have the Tamiya Comet as well. TREX makes a resin detail set for this kit as well that looks pretty good I might get that, but it's usually sold out. I have a set of Friulmodel tracks and a set of TREX resin tracks somewhere not sure which I'll use. I also have a set of Pre-Castro Cuban markings for the Comet . I've always liked the looks of the Comet...it's a sleek, little, tank.
  18. Some stuff I've been gathering up for an upcoming build And a kit I've been waiting to get for some time.... First, the kit. It's Gecko Models Pz. Kpfw (Sd.Kfz.121) Ausf. A/B/C in 1/16 scale. If I remember, this kit was announced by Gecko about a year ago......then nothing. It eventually became available at some overseas shops with high shipping making it out of reach for me.Then, I saw it on Andy's site at a "reasonable" price....I bought it😀 Next, some items I've been accumulating for My Hobby Boss1/16 panzer 38 (t) build. The kit includes an engine, so I gathered up some wires, tubing, an ignition coil, battery terminal lugs, even a few sets of plastic and resin wing nuts to add detail to the kit. I also found on EBAY a set of resin replacement tires for the Das Werk 1/6 Panzer III These are supposed to fit better than the kit parts that are a very tight fit. Anyway I'm looking forward to the Big Panzer 38 (t) build which I may do a build log. I'm still waiting for some Hiq parts spring lengths in various sizes that will be used as electrical conduits for detailing the engine. These have been hard to find and because of shipping problems have been delayed for weeks.
  19. Nice😀
  20. Continuing with my Tamiya Hotchkiss H 39....... Making up the Friulmodel tracks. Having a hard time due to the size of the individual links. I mean these these things are Tiny !! Here, see for yourself .....that's a link on a Penny! Anyway, progress has been slow....Got through about about three quarters of one side of the tracks in two days. However, they look great and I think they'll be a great addition. One thing, however, Friulmodel is using a new type of wire with some of their sets......a sort of soft steel or iron. It's very soft and bends easily.....frustrating at times....might as well use Ramen noodles. I think the reason is that the wire might take the darkening solutions better. BTW.....that's not a comically oversized bottle of Tamiya extra thin.....this tank is small😀
