  1. I would probably accidentally inhale those tiny things and never know it!
  2. I have to admit, I like the looks of the Hurricane in silver doped finish.
  3. Cool subject and a great build so far! I have to admit, I know nothing about the Mandalorian series....never watched it, but I'm interested Nonetheless!
  4. Thanks Harv. I plan to build another one in Brazilian markings, a machine gun variant with the Berliet turret. This will be done by using some extra parts I had on hand....I've already made the machine gun and turret mount.
  5. Got these today: From Friulmodel, their ATL-74 for the BT-7 tank. These BT-7 track links are tiny! I bought these for my Tamiya BT-42 I Bought recently. These Friul tracks are really great.....I've been picking up a lot of these things up lately..... A sort of undiagnosed mania, I guess, but I think they'll make some kits in my stash more likely to be built!
  6. Got this today: Ordered off Amazon, I got this kit for much less than most online shops sell it for; Most sell it for $60.00 or more. The Brothers Sprue sell it for $67.00. I got it for $41.99 plus tax and with no shipping. Anyway, the kit is Tamiya's ; Finnish Army Assault Gun BT-42 (35318) in 1/35. I built the Tamiya BT-7 kit a while ago and it was a great build. An odd, Finnish, re-turreted version of a captured Soviet BT-7, the BT-42 was fitted with a WW I era British Howitzer ....the Finns adding a perforated muzzle-brake to it. Also today; more Friulmodel tracks. This time their ATL-60, for the Churchill Tank. Had them out of the box.....they look great!
  7. Sorry to hear of your troubles with the kit. I hate bad fitting kits! When a kit becomes a chore.....move on!
  8. Great detailing Rob. I like how you did the leather on the seats. Very nice.
  9. Either that, or an H.G. Wells vision of what a 19th century German speaking Dalek might look like! Imagine; "Vernichten!" , "Vernichten!" (exterminate).
  10. Another kit from Copper State Models today and it's an odd one; It's their 5.3 cm Gruson Fahrpanzer (CSM 35011) in 1/35. This was a a mobile pill-box artillery piece with a rotating turret that could be relocated on a horse-drawn carriage to a site. Once there, it could be fired from the carriage, or set up on a narrow gauge set of rails. A short section of rails was suspended on chains below the carriage. These were used from the 1890's and to the end of WW1. They were sold to other countries as well. An interesting subject. CSM sells accessories for this kit including figures and a pair of Horses. Also today some White Putty from Tamiya. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahrpanzer
  11. I think what I'm experiencing is possibly due to stenosis . I had total relief after my surgeries, only to have minor episodes when the sciatica returned. Now, it's something different.... Burning underneath my big toes and in the arches. I thought, perhaps, neuropathy.. But the pain is positional....it goes away when standing or walking....weird! It returns when sitting.....it would be OK if I was a horse...but I have to sit down or sleep sometimes. Anyway, I'll make an appointment to see someone soon about it. Here's hoping you get the relief you need.
  12. Two back surgeries in my lifetime..... Years of sciatica continuing to this day. Never went to a chiropractor... Perhaps I should give it a try. Back pain is a terrible experience to go through. Sorry to hear of your of your troubles, Scott, I hope you pull Through.
  13. A couple of Items today: The first, from Hobby Boss, their Vickers Medium Tank Mk II (83879) in 1/35 scale. Hobby Boss makes a lot of inter-war tank subjects that other manufacturers seem to avoid , these Vickers tanks in three Mks, and in particular, Soviet Tanks like the T-26,T-28, T-35 and etc. I find these pretty interesting.. And they seem like decent kits. Also today more Fruilmodel tracks. This time their ATL-04 PZ III/IV. I plan to use these on my Tamiya Nashorn.
  14. Two vintage Tamiya kits today: First; their British 25PDR. Field Gun & Quad Gun Tractor (Canadian Ford F.G.T) (35044) in 1/35. This kit dates back to 1974! I was ten years old when it came out. Never built this one, but I saw it in the Tamiya catalogs most of my life...I saw it on Amazon for $24.00, and thought why not? An interesting subject, a fun weekend build perhaps. Second; Tamiya's British Infantry Tank Mk.IV Churchill Mk.VII (35210) in 1/35. I built this kit 22 years ago, the model long since gone. The basic kit dates back to 1977. In '96 some nice figures were added to the kit; consisting of a "farmer" figure offering wine to the tanks crew and his cart. The cart has a basket with more wine bottles (clear plastic), bucket, milk can, and lantern. There are also 3 British soldier figures. I wanted to build a Churchill. The AFV kit looks good, but I chose this one for price, and the nostalgia factor.
  15. Sounds like a lot of work!....please, when the time comes, show us how you do this.....it would make a cool build thread.
  16. Watched that video last night! Then I bought the Tamiya Churchill on Amazon... Like I said I built this kit before...but now I remember it was in 2002 not the early 90s as I previously said. I remember it was the 1996 re-release with the added figures. Ralph, yours turned out very nice.. I didn't know that winter camouflage was used on these tanks.
