Finished this up about a month ago. It’s the Special Hobby Tempest V “hi tech”. No aftermarket a true OOB build. This is my first 32nd I’ve finished since returning and the second in line after the Tamiya Corsair ( to be finished). This build I have to admit fought me from day one, not sure if that was my incompetence or the kit. Anyway it even threw me a curve ball at the final hurdle when laying down the decals, they silvered ......That was when I decided enough was enough and I hereby present my not so perfect build. Unfortunately I’d started this before I came over to LSM so did very few in progress shots as would never had put it up for public scrutiny at that time. Gladly that has changed. Feel free to comment as that’s how we all learn in the end of the day. thanks for looking, stay safe, stay well......Phil.

Well it finally happened, been furloughed for three weeks. It’s fine because it gives me a little more protection for the next 5 months, after that who knows. So the question is, three weeks of solid benchtime or house maintenance and DIY projects.........hmmmm the it’s a dilemma...........also after I complete the F4 and Camel, which are close, what will be the next project......all suggestions welcome..... Just getting into the ZM P51, I now know what you mean about what do leave out......I’m doing one buttoned up and one panels of etc........there is so to pack in.......yummy.....

Looking good Ron, you might try Autodesk Fusion, as I believe the licence is free for “hobbyists” . I use architectural parametric modelling software predominantly, which can be adapted just a scale in the end of the day........

I suppose I’m lucky, we’ve turned a double bedroom and it’s big, into hobby room. So I have a bench plus another big glass Ikea desk for the booth and extra layout. It also has double sofa bed and enough room for Ikea Detolf Cases. Which I need more. .......when we first moved here I was expecting to be in the garage..........

I remember reading a 2 Group history, apparently all the damaged Lanc’s were carted off to a place in Lincoln and from however many a few were then sent back to the airfields. Dare bet they didn’t bother repainting everything the MOD colour.....Gaz like your approach .......great idea........

Totally agree with balling them up and leaving the buckles on the fret and threading the belt. The soaking in water works very well, I then drape into position. I have also added someone thinned canopy adhesive and the draped to set in position.....
