I like it a lot, i does get some bad press, the brass and copper are very impressive. This is the gunmetal, you buff it afterwards and then seal it. The engines and the turbine and afterburner ring are True Metal and the intake vane is AK xtreme metal chrome......probably all completely wrong colours......

Small update as this “working from home” scenario isn’t giving me anymore bench time.......so ducts and engines primed, I think they are the right colours? Learnt a couple of things about ZM. Beware of the sprue gates, probably my cutters but had a couple of incidents, so cut away and sand back. The second was the 4 attachments on the fuselage, see pic. I dug to deep, now have to fill and feather back ...other than that love the ZM engineering .......

Beautiful as ever John, just realised that mounted the rear windows in the wrong orientation and the over-sprayed them when doing the prep This build is doomed to fail because of my own lack of attention to detail Some scratching of head at the weekend, me believes........

You’re right Rob, so far it’s been really enjoyable build. As I am doing the CDL I was lucky enough to have in stock the paint (XF55) but now comes the job of making it look transparent......

The Tamiya is bit gimmicky suppose to motor driven tracks, the Takom is good but replace the tracks with resin or metal because the Takom ones need 3 or 4 mouldings to perfectly aligned. I gave up after 15 minutes............

Takom do the Male IV in 35th, so wouldn’t be stretch to tool up for 16th..........
