  1. If you need some inspiration, Peter, check Tomasz Hajier build thread over at LSP ... especially with the kit in your hands. His workmanship is just unbelievable .... And William knows what I think of his own build. Hubert
  2. My understanding of HpH’s masters creation process is that they carve a shape out of wood, form hollow parts around this plug, and the do all surface detailing with custom-made PE sets, before pouring the molds for the resin parts. And the smaller detail parts masters are 3D printed. So, some good old-fashioned modelling taking palce behind the scenes, before a resin kit is released. Hubert
  3. Now THAT is modelling ...taken to ... another scale Truly outstanding Hubert
  4. Peter, of Airscale, did some PE « rivetting rulers », useful for various scales. You might try to contact him and see whether he still has some available. Great job on this Mossie. Hubert
  5. Damn ! I need a new kit in the stash like I need catching cholera, but I may not let this one pass when it' released... And then, there is this forthcoming DC-3 Hubert

No. Try harder you shoud, young Padawan .... (I have the Dauntless in the stash, but for an early version with yellow wings) Let the guessing game continue ... Hubert
  7. Just read though this thread. Amazing work on that PE. I’d have gone cross-yed trying to get it together. Well done Jeroen Hubert

Well, I have resumed work on my Gee Bee duo, but I am thinking of starting another build, of an iconic WWII aircraft, in a VERY cool civilian scheme The only indication I will give at this time is that the kit is one of Trumpeter’s best ... Hubert
  9. Pffff ... I did not feel anything .... Hubert
  10. Now, here is an absolutely iconic yacht . VERY nice catch ! Hubert
  11. Lovely littel kit (I could not resist either). Such a pity it has only schemes with swastikas on. A typical case for getting the Cameo to task for specific masks ... Hubert
  12. Me 2 As for Hobbyzone stuff, yes it does definitely help keep a tidy workbench, for the price of a HK B-17, for a « full-meal deal » Hubert
  13. Mine was stalled when one my cats decided he liked Paul’s resin and chewed the cockpit ... Nothing that Paul’s great customer service could not solve, but enough to break the momentum ... A piece of advice : be careful with gluing the engine faces. I was careless when gluing them, and mine are not properly oriented and aligned. Not a big deal, only for inquisitive and peering eyes through the intakes, but I know I got them wrong . And of course I glued and closed the fuselage, so I cannot change it now ... One day however, I will get back to it. Looking forward to your build, Harv. Hubert

Thank you Harv ... I was happy to find some old friends here. Hubert
  15. Hello all, I was wondering where all my old friends had gone .. or whether they were all having a prolonged vacation ... Anyhow, after a (tremendously difficult ) detective work that would have made Sherlock Holmes proud, I found most of the "usual suspects" here. So I registered to say hello. To those that do not know me, I am French (yes, I know ... but you need one everywhere, don't you ? Or so I want to believe), have been living in Portugal for the last 10 months or so, even though I am not yet retired, and my kit interests focus on 1/32 exclusively, and mostly civilians, racers, Golden Age aircrafts, early jets, no-swastikas, and non-camoed ... I also do ships from time-to-time, and may do more now that there are some 1/200 offerings, even for pre-dreadnoughts . I am also a very prolific builder .... nooooo .... this is an outright lie. Between ordinary life issues, a business still to run in France, and a modelling-bias towards detailing and AMS, I have little time at the bench, and a very slow output. I hope I can bring something here nevertheless, and will follow my friends' works with interest Hubert
