  1. Loving the electrics Kai, it will look very smart! Cheers Kev
  2. Thanks very much for the comments guys, not sure what to build next, I have a couple of group builds coming up in other groups so will probably be something Cold War made by Airfix. Cheers Kev
  3. Things got in the way of the build thread, but I have managed to finish this at last. Really enjoyed the build apart from the AFV Club tracks. I could just not get them to work, so ended up going with the ones in the kit. Cheers Kev
  4. Looking good Phil, very nice work. Cheers Kev
  5. Still bogged down not building. 😞 But I have cleared my bench enough to crack on with the Scimitar, just needs varnish and weathering now. Could not resist these though as I thought they were oop. The T.4 will probably be done as a Mcaws display jet. The Strikemaster I am hoping to do as Sultan Of Oman Air Force 1972 as per the battle of Mirbat. Need to track down some appropriate decals, or try upscaling from 1/72. Cheers Kev
  6. First buy of the New Year, despite saying I will build what I have first! A very rare foray into 1/72! Can also see the 1/48 Anson and 1/48 Bucc from Airfix appearing as well. Also have the 1/35 K2 ambulance on pre order. I would love a DH Dove or Devon in 1/48 as well. Cheers Kev
  7. Phil I did it as part of a Battle of Britain group build. Search and Rescue role, they used to fly over the channel and drop dinghies for downed aircrew. I would have to check which squadron it was. My memory is shocking! Cheers Kev
  8. I built the Lysander last year Phil, very nice kit indeed. I would recommend dry fitting the canopy and wing components numerous times to get a good idea of how it all fits together. That was the weakest point in my build as I followed the instructions religiously. Bad move. Hope you enjoy it! Cheers Kev
  9. Typical, just spent ages tracking everything down separately :-) Always the way! Still missing a British Officer with a flat peaked cap but am sure will get one somewhere! Cheers Kev
  10. Definitely Belushi as the figures are based on the later film version. I also have the Miniart US Tank Crew set and will use figures from there, instead of that one. Cheers Kev
  11. This came today, to go alongside my Miniart M3 Lee Lulubelle from the film Sahara. Had to order from the Ukraine but came very quickly. Cheers Kev
  12. New work space looks great, and super kit to try it out, it's huge! Looking very good! Cheers Kev
  13. Excellent result Rob, lovely finish! Cheers Kev
  14. Only just caught up, making great progress, another nice looking kit from a manufacturer I have not used before. Cheers Kev
  15. Thanks for sharing your methods Kai, all of this rework is going to pay off with an outstanding finish, I am in awe. Cheers Kev
  16. Phil that is looking very promising, I have not tried a rfm kit, for the money that is a lot of plastic, do you mind me asking where you got it? Thanks for the tip about Gorilla glue, I bought some and finding it very good to use. Cheers Kev
  17. Very nice work! I especially like the weathering and rust track on the hull. Cheers Kev
  18. Great work on the cockpit, good idea to add the strength tabs to the nose as well. Cheers Kev
  19. That's a cracking Centurion, always one of my favourite tanks! I will have to get one for my stash I think! Cheers Kev
  20. Thanks guys, I will try the Gorilla glue Phil, thanks. I never got to go for a ride in one of these Mark wish I had now though. Made a start on the road wheels. All pretty straight forward so far. Cheers Kev
  21. Thanks very much Peter Cheers Kev
  22. Hi guys I am building this next I will be building it in the role of Royal Air Force EOD from the late 1980's. Never tackled this much PE before so it should be fun :-) Cheers Kev
  23. Just caught up with this build. Great stuff, thanks for the seat belt tips. Cheers Kev
