  1. I'll enjoy seeing your progress.
  2. What's the difference? I like gun pictures, too.
  3. Thank you! I actually had this and didn't realize it was a retarder! This saves me from making another purchase.
  4. Thanks Rob, I actually use this with Tamiya all of the time. I must not be using enough.
  5. Is there such a beast?
  6. It all depends... are you gonna do a 1/1 scale diorama with you, your dog, rifle, and recently deceased game animal? Special note... ensure rifle is unloaded before putting it and dog in the diorama. It occasionally happens during deer season that some hunter is shot by his dog. ...True story!
  7. Glad to see you all! I rarely get photographed. But I finally found something wider than me for a backdrop.
  8. heh.... thanks for sharing! That would have been useful on the B-29 that I almost completed in 1/48 a few years back.
  9. I've built the Zvezda Bf109G6 in 1/48. Amazingly inexpensive, but a really nice kit. Decals are average, but the plastic was nice. With armor models, I'm most concerned about the tracks. I get sick of paying for aftermarket tracks which usually cost more than the model they're intended for. So, if I see they have rubber band tracks, I don't buy em.
  10. No, No, No! This stuff will fog your model quickly! Ask me how I know. What you want for a satin coat is Tamiya X22: And Tamiya XF-86: Good Luck!
  11. I will be donating a gift certificate from Hannants (in the UK) worth 50 GBP.
  12. Rob, Nice progress. I'll be interested to see more. If you want to get beyond the shine you can get with paper backed abrasives, try some automotive buffing compound. I use Meguires. Works great on non-enamel paints. Rejuvenates clear plastic parts, too! Saved a lot of canopies for me.
  13. The frisket I have is dangerously sticky. I can;t think of anything to do with it. Glad yours came off clean.
  14. You are a braver man than me putting anything sticky near those wing decals.
  15. That's just way beyond the call!
  16. Some nice, tidy work, Phil!
  17. Looks sweet, John!
  18. Hubert, Enjoying your WIP! Love the spats and inner detail work. That chain is wonderful!
  19. Nice looking weapons bay, John!
  20. Glad to see paint on it... Looks most excellent, thus far!
  21. Flies. Well... A fly. First he landed on the figure I had been working on. But by the time I had grabbed the camera he was on the cupola. I tried to shoo him towards the figure, but he didn't follow orders. He even landed for a ha;lf a second on the face of another figure that was standing up... but before I could swing the camera, he was off again.
  22. I have a prominent. narrow nose. Paper masks just don't work for me. I have to wear a proper, rubber sealed mask, otherwise dust and air just flow down into the gaps in front of my eyes and into my nostrils or mouth.
