I feel your pain with the unwelcome results there Rob. I have a Hasegawa Miura where Tamiya Lacquer has etched the plastic. It'll need to be sanded smooth before I can attempt any sort of respray. Nice solution to the fit issue that you had. One step forward, two steps back.

We had a package arrive from Amazon the other day. Sue brought it in so it was on the dining room table when I got home. She tells me "There's a package for you. What did you order now?". She hates Amazon so nothing to do with my models. I'm perplexed as I didn't order anything. I look at the shipping label, it has her name on it. We're both curious at this point so she opens it up. It's a puking cat gravy boat. Yes, they make such a thing. So it turns out her brother ordered it and sent it to her. She's planning to use it at Christmas dinner this year.

Looks great. The weathering is nicely done. Well, a couple Toronto winters and it would be merely scrap metal.

I have one of the sanders myself. It really is handy especially for intake seams.

I would be up for it. The biggest possible hurdle here in Canada is the current ongoing postal strike. So it may take a bit longer to get a prize either coming or going to the Great White North. But that's why we have a stash...

They re oil pans. For catching dripping oil. Usually used when you do an oil change on a car at home. Typically moulded in black plastic.

I bought the recent Meng Dune Ornithopter kit, put it into the stash. Then when the Sandbox GB started, I figured I'd build that except... ...I couldn't find the kit. I looked under the bench (the usual repository for new kits), the shelves where most of my stash lives. Nope, Nada. I debated buying another one. At this point, I thought to was time to sort and reorganize the stash. I finally found the kit on a completely different shelf behind other kits. How it got there I have no idea. At least things are better sorted now. I only have 2 kits in the way of others and that's because they're too big to fit a shelf themselves.

Congrats on full retirement Hubert. It's also great to hear your business went to someone deserving and who will respect it. Your work on the Potez is superlative. Great to see it coming together as planned.

Okay, for some reason Scott's build stuck in my head. So after getting home from the local bar tonight I decided to see if I could knock out a build in a single sitting. So here's the victim. Note the time in the corner. Painted the interior bits. Started on assembly. Assembled completed. Painted the exterior, a simple panel line wash and done! No decals or stickers certainly helped make it work.

That's like Ueno Clinic which sponsored the winning '95 LeMans McLaren. They're a Japanese beauty salon I believe. Or Jacadi, a French children's clothing company. I only learned what they were after we had our boys.

I think I saw one of those the other day. Actually it was a raccoon but man, it was round!!!!

I stopped by the LHS today. They're having a Black Friday sale all weekend. It seems the Canadian ban on Tamiya aerosol cans has been expanded a bit. All Tamiya spray cans (paints and primers) were subject to a ban recently due to issues most likely with a chemical either in the paint or propellant. Stores were (still are) allowed to sell what was in stock but wouldn't get restocks. Now they've been told that any remaining stock after Dec 31 has to be returned to the importer. As well, Tamiya Lacquer thinner, Metal Primer, and their enamel gold paint(the only bottled paint) have been added to the list. So I grabbed a few bottles of thinner just in case. The Lacquer thinner with retarder (Tamiya's version of Mr Color Leveling Thinner) is not part of the recall. The new F-35C arrived. I wasn't going to get one but it was on sale and finished off the trifecta of F-35 variants. I need an LS engine for a Land Rover build and resin ones aren't cheap so this Corvette has become a donor. I guess I could build the Vette with the hood shut Lastly, no buys like the Zvezda 1/100 tank kits. Way too tiny for me. For 1/2 price I grabbed them a few for stocking stuffers or just random gifts to them.

You're getting quite the collection of MFH kits there Rob. That Brabham is a bit different that's for sure. It looks more like an Indy car than F1.

It was an enjoyable build. Once you figure out the errors in the instructions. I've got another in the stash to get to one day. Carl
