  1. My hospital department is diagnostic imaging based and we've basically cancelled everything that isn't cancer based or urgent in-patient work. It's work at home where you can and minimal contact otherwise. There has been talk of redeploying people but they haven't approached us as yet. As a physicist my skill set isn't immediately transferable but I'm willing to push trolleys, drive deliveries, whatever's needed. Our problem with working at home is that the IT restrictions on accessing anything from home is extremely tight for data protection, patient confidentiality, etc, so it's mainly emails and committee stuff that can be done.
  2. Stunning work again Peter. Very ingenious touch to get the crimped edge.... another idea to try and store in the old noggin in case it's ever needed.
  3. Neat, simple idea Steve but an obvious way to help. Amazing how sometimes the simplest ideas help the most.
  4. Great job Dale. Really nice realistic weathering. Glad you managed to get the aerial rigged.
  5. Great result Steve. Doesn't seem to have been as much work as it looked like it might be. I can't imagine that working with decals over that area is a piece of cake either, so probably just as much work for a 'nicer' result.
  6. Amazing work on the interior. Seat looks like a deck chair which is what you'd expect. These were definitely built for function not comfort!
  7. Very nice. Admire anyone who can rig these.
  8. Might keep a few of our smaller airports from going under! We've lost one of the biggest regional carrier airlines in Europe already which put my brother out of a job. That and other cancellations are having knock ons with ground crew being laid off etc, so a few extra bums on seats transiting to the US may help.
  9. As an NHS worker we're relatively well prepared here but I work in an imaging area where we're unlikely to have direct contact with patients, so we're just using the standard precautions. The media are certainly over-hyping this here and it's difficult to see why people are panic buying things like loo roll! Statistically it's very difficult to calculate the morbidity and mortality of this as you need to know the infection rate and this is a total unknown in most cases, all we know is how many have tested positive but how many are asymptomatic in the general population?? Even the Chinese don't have an accurate handle on total exposure figures.
  10. Nice work Gaz, love the weathering on the bottom of the upper armour. Always think these look like they're missing the last road wheel!
  11. Nice catch again Dale. The Condor is nice - wish someone would do one in 1/32 scale. Not sure where you'd put it though.
  12. 8 psi! Never worked that low. Is it worth turning the compressor on, or do you just use a straw!??
  13. Think that was about the reason why we stopped at 2!!
  14. Thanks Rich. Have made a start on the primer but the trailer has sooo many nooks and crannies it took three sessions just to get it all covered. More soon I hope.
  15. Looking great Dale. The worn appearance on the propeller blades is lovely.
  16. As Danny says it's great to know you have the ability and opportunity to build cool (well we think so!) things as and when you like. Personally, I like basic construction and weathering as my favourite parts of the process. Some things I find less enjoyable - stencils on jets, fiddly PE - but they're still better than most of the alternatives.
  17. Stunning results and the touch ups don't seem too onerous. Going to look fantastic when it's done.
  18. Very nice result, especially with a brush. Your first two subjects are certainly challenging for you as the 'simple' grey schemes are a lot less forgiving compared to other less monochrome schemes. I've always found the type of paint has a huge influence on the quality of the result I can get with a brush but you seem to have found a good range there right of the bat.
  19. Both lovely displays and highlighting some very skilful paintwork. Nice demonstration of the size of the Peacemaker as well.
  20. You're going to be busy Dale! Nice selection of stuff. Seeing the Italeri Jag makes me wish for the promised 1/32 one which I suspect is never going to see the light of day.
