  1. Only armour I remember doing as a youngster were the Lee and Airfix's 'Monty's Humber'. It sticks in my mind as I tried to do a diorama base for it using polystyrene and then stuck it down with the old Airfix tube glue with predictable results....
  2. Sorry to hear of your loss Ernie. Take all the time you need for Joy and your family.
  3. The famous Glasgow squirrel enjoying it's favourite food - the Tunnock's Teacake!!
  4. Interesting to see how this goes together. Remember butchering the old Airfix one as a kid.
  5. Same here in Scotland Carl. Face coverings compulsory on public transport and in shops, etc. We also wear them anytime we're in public or clinical areas of the hospital I work in. We're down to single figure case numbers per day and want to keep it there as we ease some restrictions.
  6. Have a great day Martin and please keep posting all those amazing photos you seem to keep finding! All the best..
  7. Thanks for that link. There are lots of nice profiles on there for future ideas. Pity you can't find a NMF/OD combo but I'm sure something will take your fancy.
  8. Thanks for the info Gaz. Always amazes me how many hours you can lose when you fall down a little research rabbit hole like that! Whether it's absolutely historically accurate or not it looks cool.
  9. Looks great Gaz. You do wonder what they were smoking when they came up with some of these schemes though!?!
  10. Wow, serious scratch building going on here. Looking forward to seeing how this develops.
  11. When you takin' it in the bath? Seriously, it looks amazing. Never contemplated anything like this but your efforts and crazypoet's picket boat do make it look like an interesting change of scene. However, I'd want to find something cheap and simple to jump in with - the thought of bu**ering up something as nice as this would make me weep.
  12. I feel your pain Ernie...
  13. Thanks Jeroen. Just been considering buying something like this, so glad to know they're worth it.
  14. Looking great Jackster. Always loved the Pink Panther kit since I built one as a kid. Certainly didn't look like that! From memory it met a sticky end with a banger!
  15. Looks lovely Jeroen. As a matter of interest do you use a specific tool for bending the PE?
  16. Have a good one Ernie and stay safe.

    Paint

Not sure Harv. In my experience it's similar to the Tamiya acrylics ie alcohol rather than water based. It's always reacted well with Mr Levelling. Sorry don't know more than that as it's not that easy to get over here.
  18. That's very tempting..... Father's Day is this weekend!!
  19. Have seen some really nice uses of the various knobs and things on some modern jet cockpits. Good to hear the service is good as well.
  20. Wow, that looks brilliant Jeroen. Real depth to the print - the watch strap almost looks 3D
  21. Wow, that looks great. I've got one of these in the stash with a bunch of AM but haven't had the courage to start it yet. Not sure if this is encouraging or disheartening as I'm sure mine won't look that good.
  22. Not seeing any images?! They've obviously been visible, so not sure what's going on.
  23. Very nice subtle weathering there Martin.
  24. Nice Martin. Just such a cool design. Who else would design a tank to look like a block of cheese! Based on the typo I guess it's a Trumpeter kit?
  25. Having been robbed of my airbrushing space by the kids returning early from Uni I decided to order a spraybooth. After a bit of research I plumped for one from a company called Bartsharp as it's about 40% bigger than the standard versions and shifts 9m3 of air per minute. They were waiting for new stock when I ordered which took a while due to the current situation but it arrived yesterday. Service was great as they kept in touch throughout and even phoned to talk through the shipping options. I also ordered a 4m tumble dryer hose to use with it so I can work in the family room and vent through the patio doors. Has full LED lighting which is also adjustable so should hopefully do me for the foreseeable future. Also got this for my birthday, so I'm going to build it straight away and paint and weather it at the same time as the AMX-30B2 I've got on the go. Hopefully get back to the CHET as well.
