  1. Wonderful finish Rob. It really looks the part and will be a nice, unusual display. Never heard of the Scale 75 stuff but given your work here they definitely look worth a look.
  2. I remember doing a 1/72 Vigilante as a kid. It would need a lot of space in our scale!
  3. The squid looks amazing. Really life-like and threatening.
  4. Ah loved the Goodies as a kid in the 70s. Some classic moments I remember include them getting chased around by giant characters from the Magic Roundabout and the Christmas one of Jack and the Beanstalk where the geese were 'bombing' them with exploding golden eggs to the soundtrack of the Dambusters theme! I'm sure I was too young to get some of the more subtle humour but just the slapstick stuff was brilliant. Remember the Funky Gibbon on Top of the Pops as well.
  5. We've always had a few contrary b******s in this country so I could imagine the designers doing that deliberately just to be bloody awkward.
  6. Love the Argosy. Remember seeing them at airshows back in the 70s. A true fugly!
  7. She is definitely better looking than Taime Downe and almost certainly a better singer despite being resin. Man couldn't carry a tune in abucket!
  8. That looks really good. Never seen one of these conversions done before and it looks perfect.
  9. Not the cheapest loft insulation I've seen Dean! Would it be quicker just to list what you don't have.... BTW, welcome to LSM.
  10. Don't think so Iain unless there's a vacform out there somewhere. BUT oh I'd love a big Aardvark! Actually I'd really like to do an EF-111A.
  11. I'd back up Carl's comment about the PWMP tail. I also found it easier to splice it onto the kit part rather than using the entire resin piece. It's easily done and gives a nice result. I'm not sure how JP van Regenmortel operates now, I think I emailed him directly back when I ordered mine.
  12. Looking forward to seeing how this works. I've always wondered how the joints looked on these.
  13. That looks stunning Rob. Can't believe you got all those little masks done with any bleeding under the edges.
  14. Looking great Rob. The metal effects are really effective, especially on the main hull.
  15. That is an art. I always marvel at the huge copper stills at the distilleries over here - always unique and just so beautifully made. Have seen a house up in the NW Highlands where a couple of old ones have been turned into bedrooms!!
  16. I used to do a lot of skiing when I still had cartilage in my knees and there was a great hotel up Glenshee called the Blackwater Inn which had a landlord who was from Kentucky. How the hell he ended up there I've no recollection, but it did have a great selection of Bourbons, so we sampled quite a few! Don't remember all of them but I remember Rebel Yell, Jim Beam, Wild Turkey and Makers Mark. Generally not a huge fan of whisk(e)y which isn't Scottish but they were all decent (honourable mentions for Suntory and Bushmills), so Ernie I kinda forgive you!
  17. SACRILEGE!! Although not the best whisky out there, that's still a very nice drop there. It's not known as 'water of life' for nothing. Say that in Scotland and you'll deported asap.
  18. Now that's true attention to detail!!!
  19. Where do you find these Martin?? And back to the topic... TJ those are wonderful sentiments and this is the first place I come for a bit of sanity and light relief at the moment. I hope the airline industry recovers fast enough for you. My brother worked for FlyBe over here and they went down right at the start. He's lucky in that he picked up a supermarket job very quickly and is at least bringing some cash in.
  20. Very cool video Dale. Your pupil seems to have a very good rapport with the bass player and the singer is also very good. Hope they have a bit of success and lots of fun with it.
  21. Very neat Rob. Definitely a job to strain the eyes!
  22. Our local micro brewery is still doing deliveries and has now added frozen pies to their repertoire, so I feel a pie and a pint coming on!!
