Ooh, that dinghy looks really nice Rob. Glad the post finally got through. Did they swim from the mainland?

It's a really interesting area as no-one has a true handle on the number of asymptomatic people in their population. Singapore and South Korea probably did the highest proportion of the trace and test paradigm and it seems to have worked for South Korea but Singapore are now implementing a form of lockdown. There certainly does seem to be a correlation between testing and quota as Germany probably has the most effective testing set up in Europe currently due to their huge diagnostics industry and they have a seemingly low death rate compared to other adjacent countries as they're testing a lot more of the mild and asymptomatic cases. As Rob says it's only really after the fact when you can look at the excess deaths, etc that the true patterns and stories emerge. A big one is how many are dying of Covid compared to those dying with Covid ie in how many is it the primary cause of death rather than just speeding things up slightly. Anyway, hope all here keep safe and well. -
Looks great Rob. That's very fine work detail painting in that scale!

The videos on their website certainly seem to show them sagging very realistically - the resin is very soft. They also supply an asymmetric 'bulge' on the hub which can be sanded or trimmed to give a desired degree of sag. They certainly look very nice but they don't yet have a product for anything in my stash, although they do seem to be producing new stuff pretty quickly.

Those 'ghost' roundels are great. A really neat touch that just enhances the realism.

Don't think I've used the kit wheels on any aircraft kit I built since returning to the hobby, even the Tamiya Spitfire, F-15 and F-16! As you say there are so many other options now. Personally I'm really intrigued by those 'soft' resin wheels from Halberd Models so I'd love to hear from anyone who's tried them out. They've been mentioned over TOS but as has been highlighted here, there aren't many over there who's opinions I'd trust to be unbiased!

Nice Harv. I've seen plumbers use these in 'real life' scale to bend copper pipe but never seen them for modelling. $5 seems a bit of a steal.

Thanks Phil. Most of it is now primed in Ammo Brown Oxide primer as a base for the rust but our spare room where I work is now full of 'junk' with the kids returning unexpectedly early from Uni! May be a bit before I can make some progress.

Glad your having fun Dale, Hope you were using acrylics not lacquers! Nice bit of classical Greek scholarship there! Those lectures you're listening to are obviously good. -

Lovely job Ernie. The seatbelts do look pretty good for PE. I truly hate PE belts especially for jets but no-one seems to do the paper type for anything much post WWII -
Nice little tutorial Tom. Easy way to do it without them becoming too heavy.

Tamiya Spitfire IXe with ModXXX

Probably won't be a problem Carl and it saves a lot of cursing. I used masks for the fin flash on my MkXVIe and they were a pain in the ass to get aligned correctly. The 'spare' bit hanging over the front edge stuck to other things, the other side and me!! My wife wasn't impressed by the vocabulary. -

All that scratch work looks great under a coat of green Cees. Glad the move went well. There's a lot of confusion over here as to whether you can move or not under the current restrictions. -

I'd go Mirage 2000D Tamiya F4U-1A to be done as a FAA bird RFM Firefly to be done as used by the Fife & Forfar Yeomanry. That'll do as l have enough other things to get finished as it is! -
That's a decent size. I have the Mjalso cabinet which is about 18" deep inside and a 1/32 F-15C fits okay at a slight angle, so plenty big enough unless you like building Clunkmeister size!

Looks pretty nice for a first try. Kudos -
Hi Rob That's a ridiculous difference! It almost looks like a 48th & 32nd comparison. Looks like your option 3 may be the best if you can get delivery.

Nice, Not a Harley model I've ever seen over here.

My hospital department is diagnostic imaging based and we've basically cancelled everything that isn't cancer based or urgent in-patient work. It's work at home where you can and minimal contact otherwise. There has been talk of redeploying people but they haven't approached us as yet. As a physicist my skill set isn't immediately transferable but I'm willing to push trolleys, drive deliveries, whatever's needed. Our problem with working at home is that the IT restrictions on accessing anything from home is extremely tight for data protection, patient confidentiality, etc, so it's mainly emails and committee stuff that can be done.
