You know...  I haven't even pulled anything from the bags, yet.

There's a very fine line between collecting and hoarding...

Ask me, I know.

The house is in no danger of falling over just yet, up in the attic I have around 200 kits, I sold 100 a few years back to trim things back a mite but even so there are many kits in there that I will not build, in the total is 34 1/48 kits that I will definately not build but I could not be bothered selling them.

I built up a large stash to see me through retirement and the habit has stuck, but luckily it has slowed down as my interest has narrowed over the years, 1/32 scale, WW2 and my favourite subjects are RAF/FAA, Italian, French and Japanese subjects, I came late to the latter but already had the kits in the stash.

As there are not many releases in these categories I am buying less and less as the years go by, I also used the money from the sale of kits to buy some Tamiya super kits.

Cheers

Dennis.

Around 40. And I'm a slow builder....harv

I had not realised there had to be a correlation between building speed and stash size :wtf:!

Thank God I did not know. Plus I believe in science and its capacity to keep me healthy until I have exhausted the stash, in a few centuries. Finally, I am no mathematician; maybe the more science-orientated among you can help solve this mathematical riddle : "If I buy kits at 7 times the rate I build them, when will I have exhausted the stash ?"

Looking forward to your answers :help:

Dont try to establish a false correlation between stashing and building !

The internet , nay , the world! slows, shudders and then totters on at even the slightest allusion to the aforementioned.

Math!? Science!?

WTF are you babbling about!!??

Holy Mother of ,,,its hot.

That's exactly what I said........................ it didn't go over very well

Let’s look at it rationally : a stash of piled boxes in the attic takes a lot less space than shelves with the same number of finished models in the living room. Now that’s an argument that any woman who cares for her interior should hear gladly, and even, dare I say, with relish …

Well, at least, I tried

That's the only  concern that Sue has too. That I might somehow actually finish what's in my stash.

My build rate is far exceeded by the rate at which I accumulate kits. I think my stash is currently in the 150-200 range. I'm currently waiting for the Z-M Skyraider to arrive.
