harv Posted September 13, 2021 Author Posted September 13, 2021 Not sure you would want me cutting on you my friend !!......harv🤣 1 2
GazzaS Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Nice cutting, Harv. I've taken to use the method where you drill a line of holes and then the saw follows the holes. I had too many instances of saw-drift in my life. 2 1
DocRob Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Nice result with the first cuts Harv, almost there , just joking. On my Fly Arado build, I noticed that the plastic is quite thick and a bit on the brittle side, but good to cut and saw. Dyno Tape helps a lot, hindering scratch marks, but be careful on clear parts, where it leaves residues. Cheers Rob 2 1
Kaireckstadt Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Nice progress Harv! Cutting is always not easy but important to reduce rework. I also use the Hasegawa saws but I strengthened them with stripes from old photoetch glued to the surface to make them stiffer. Easier then to use. 2 1

harv Posted September 14, 2021 Author Posted September 14, 2021 Lots of cutting and sanding. This just ruff start. The sides need to be thinned....harv 7
Kaireckstadt Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Great work so far Harv! The walks really have to be thinned down but the overall fit looks ok! 2 1
harv Posted September 14, 2021 Author Posted September 14, 2021 Thanks Kai ! Yes lots of thinning to do. I'm fairly happy with the way the cutting is going. A few goof ups to fix.....harv 3
Peterpools Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Harv Looking good and take your time ... a bit of progress every day Keep 'em comin Peter 2
BlrwestSiR Posted September 14, 2021 Posted September 14, 2021 Slow and steady Harv. But nice clean work at the same time. It looks like there won't be much left of the Fly kit once you're done. Carl 1 1

harv Posted September 17, 2021 Author Posted September 17, 2021 First piece fitted. Looks good to go. It's the cockpit bulkhead. A lot depends on this fitting right......harv 7
Peterpools Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Harv Yes ... getting everything to align perfectly is surely the key in eliminating problems down the road, which at times has always plagued me. Keep 'em comin Peter. 1
harv Posted September 17, 2021 Author Posted September 17, 2021 Yes, it's bitten me in the ass a few times !.....harv 1
shark64 Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Well thats looking pretty sharp. Dont forget to add the floor when u do your dryfitting parts since it does stretch the fuselage a bit. 1 1
