This is amazing. I’ve stayed away from 48 for the most part, except for the really big stuff, but these look incredibly tempting.

Thanks Ernie much appreciated, I am really impressed with ICM. Also 1/48 is a good scale for twins I reckon. Manufacturers have really updated their game on the detail they are now putting into the kits. ICM are about to release. 1/48 Beaufort which I reckon will be very nice indeed. I hoping they will do a Wellie, Hampden etc there is a real whole in the market there.

I agree that 1/48 is the better scale for twins AND 4-engine birds. I look forward to some real goodies in this scale! :)

We can hope, love to all the early British bombers in this scale, just if they are going to a Beaufort perhaps they will do a new Beaufighter…….please….

I don't build a lot of British.  But I think a nice Wellington would be cool in 1/48.  I know Trumpeter makes one...  but I have been on an anti-Trumpeter stance since my first two Trumpy aircraft kits disgusted me.

The Trumpeter Wimpy is actually a nice kit Gaz. Definitely one of their A-team jobs. Just wish someone would do one in 1/32 scale.

Agree completely about the virtues of 48th scale and over the past year I've been building in both 48th and 32nd scale - just enjoy both. The details in the newer 48th scale kits are amazing and working in both scales keep the juices flowing for me.

Now I just want to get home and open the box with my 1/32 88A1/2 , and maybe look at it for a few minutes before closing it and ordering ICM kit :)

looking good Phil,washes will bring some life into overall sand livery.

Thanks Martin, I so pleased I have added a little inspiration to someone’s work bench. So this is Vallejo Desert Dust on the rudder, I think I like it, be honest guys…….

Don’t mean to suck up or anything, but to use light, appropriately shaded wash is the key. You can modulate the colour throughout the airframe and then with the addition of a light dust( filter) you have a winner. 
I like it.

Thanks Martin, I’ll give it a go, fairly pleased with rudder but flat surfaces are going to another issue……never say never..

Phil, doing what the KGB suggests was the hardest thing I had to master in modeling.  But once I did, it made all the difference. Just a slightly lightened color in the middle of panels then a filter wash to blend it all in. Makes all the difference!

Sorry...   what is the "KGB" and what does it suggest?  Is Beria suggesting we do some liquidation?  Seriously though...  I have no idea what you're talking about.

Ernie, I have some Vallejo White wash that I may add after the dust coat, I’ll try a small area first…..
