Yep, I remember William coming down and saying “something’s wrong with Martin” or similar, and mentioning that he had answered in German or some other language. No body knew about the extra curricular activities we had embarked upon the night before, and I immediately said “oh crap I just scrambled his brain with potato whiskey”. Then when he did come down, I saw the shape he was in and said “Oh Merciful God!”
Did Martin Hatalovic, the ex Serbian warlord (inside joke) answer in some obscure Serbian dialect known only to him and God?

Note to self:  keep Martin away from the bottle

This would have been fine, Martin looked much worse,   PTSD.

Oh good grief, I don’t want to know, either.

What I will say is that both him and I spent at least a few minutes each about 2/3 of the way through the evening each individually hugging the commode with our arms and doing the old Technicolor Yawn.  Had to make room for more, y’understand.
Honestly though, I normally don’t drink. But we sure as heck made up for it that night.  The year previous, Richard Alexander and I both sat in the hotel bar and tried to outdo each other. That ol’ boy is as Aussie as it gets and if we would have continued, I’d have been flat on my face and he’d still be standing tall.  That guy isn’t human. 🤣

That definitely was a lot of fun!  I also remember standing in line to get on the bus and turned around Radu was right behind me.  As Tim said, we need to get the band back together and do it again.  I'm not sure about Texas this year, but hopefully!  Maru - are you coming back over the pond?

I’d be 100% game. Texas will be hot and humid. But it should be fun.

Hello..

I think it will clash with something else that I am doing in August or when the ipms  takes place so no  I will miss it.

I remember our time  sat next to each other on the coach  to and from the PIMA museum.. Radu took one or two pictures of ME standing under the aircrafts there and that's when I learned his identity and ended up having breakfast and dining out with him and Martin and others.

What a lovely get together that was and we all ended up becoming  great friends and having respect for each other.

We were and ARE a fine bunch of friends..

have a great weekend .

and thanks Chris for putting up some pictures on MY behalf  all those years ago on the other forum..I haven't forgotten  your kindness....

MARU.

Maru, we haven't met in person yet but I do remember the advice you gave me years ago shortly after my heart attack. It really  left an impression on me and I appreciate it.

Martin and I were actually talking about maybe sneaking over to Telford or one of the other European shows one day and meet up on your side of the pond. Hopefully that'll happen in the not too distant future.
