OK, I normally just chuck new kits into the stash without looking inside but here goes.

Here's what you see when you open the box

Then two plastic bags with the plastic parts inside, here's bag 1.

Mind blowing smoke ring decals, all numbered

And the main decal sheet.

Looks pretty pretty comprehensive to me but then again I am not an expert as far as Italian subjects are concerned and after three PCM builds on the run it looks pretty Astral Overdrive to me.

Today came another big 1/16 kit;

From Andy's Hobby Headquarters, it's his M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight"

Late WWII/Korean War (AHHQ-004). I already had his earlier big-scale Sherman. This one has the later ( more familiar) T80 tracks and a figure that was sculpted based on a photo of Andy's grandfather....

Well, of the Two Shermans I'll probably build this one first. I haven't cracked

the box yet, but judging from the previous kit it should be a great kit.

Of the Sherman's I like the full length barrel or Firefly version the best ;)

Another 1/16 kit arrived moments ago!

From Trumpeter, It's their T-34/85 Model 1944 Facory No. 183 (00902).

These are big kits....around 800 or so parts! I've got to build one of these.

I now have four of these kits...plus their Su-100. I plan to build the Su-100

First. I think the Big SU has something like 1100 parts! Anyway, I have to

start building something as I have had a kit sitting for a few weeks needing

to be finished!......I'll finish that, then I'll find something big to build.

Nice choice, I hope you do a WIP Paul. I have a SU-85 from MiniArt, which has over 700 parts and 100 more in PE, but in 1/35 :icon_eek:. I had difficulties to get the many sprues back into the box.

Cheers Rob

Wow! I can't imagine a 1/35 kit with that many parts-----must be small,  tiny,

easily lost parts....I have a couple of Miniart kits... So I can believe it!

Please, when the time comes ,WIP!

Well, my Das Werk Sd.Kfz. 251/1 Ausf.D (DW 16005) in 1/16 came today.

I wanted to get this thing since I first saw Andy's video featuring this kit.

The kit does look pretty good with the exception of The Mauser Kar 98

rifles supplied..... they look a little funky...the grip area of the buttstock is off. It looks odd. Minor complaint but.....

Hey Paul

From what I saw when I looked through the sprues this is going to be a real challenging build. I'm still accumulating reference material for this kit.

Agreed ....the  mausers bothered me at first, but  You know, after looking at some mauser pictures....they

Really don't look too bad!

Hey Paul

Andy's Hobby Headquarters just released his build video of the sdkfz 251.

He is doing it in a few different parts, because there is a lot to this kit. It kinda ends a little abruptly so don't be alarmed, he'll finish it in his next video.

Also did you know that Trumpeter makes a 1/16 sdkfz 251 ausf d kit #00942.

Thanks.  Yes, I watched the video last night....then looked up a lot of engine pics for

this vehicle. The engines looked like they were dark grey in the pics. It seems like a lot of detail will be covered up when Finished however. Please note: Andy has re-released his video.... it's been

revised.  A part 2_of this video is forthcoming.

it's been in the stash for a while but after seeing Scott and Carl go to town on the Hobbycraft kit, I pulled the Airfix version out and will be digging in right after the P-38 is across the line.
