Wingco57 Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 While I had some paint left in the cup after airbrushing some of the Phantom parts I thought I might as well check one of the Manchester wings for flaws. 4
Wingco57 Posted March 5, 2021 Author Posted March 5, 2021 The Vacform Stirling provided two FN7 transparencies that would come in handy for the Manchester. The framing is too prominent but the general shape can be used to make a Milliput mould. 7
Peterpools Posted March 6, 2021 Posted March 6, 2021 Cees Your creativity is unreal. Always on the lookout... Keep 'em comin Peter 1

Bomber_County Posted September 5, 2022 Posted September 5, 2022 Great to see this back, would love to see a Border Lanc built as a MkII. Guess you’d have rob a couple of Beaufighters for the engines, we’re they the right mark engine though….. 2
Wingco57 Posted September 25, 2022 Author Posted September 25, 2022 Spent a glorious week in beautiful Lincolnshire, also known as bomber county. After so much inspiration my vingers itched to get some modelling done. I decided it is time to finish the Manchester, a project I have been working on since the end of 2015. Recently I got these beautifully rendered nacelles. So the first option made from plasticard was obsolete. The wall thickness is very thin and need some strenghtening. Plastic insulation pipe will be used to represent the radiator cores. 6 1
ThomasProbert Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Where is the nacelles come from - they look very nicely done. 1
Wingco57 Posted September 27, 2022 Author Posted September 27, 2022 Some reshaping of the corners. They are a bit flat, but after some gentle scraping much better. 4
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted September 27, 2022 Administrators Posted September 27, 2022 Wow… i know how difficult that shape is to get right! I think you nailed it! 2
